Double set triggers for Italian Sharps
« on: June 16, 2004, 10:55:53 AM »
Hello Folks,

Do any of you know where I could find a double set trigger for my Armi San Marco 1874 Sharps? I recently ran into one of these for peanuts, and it is a real shooter. With a set trigger and a better set of sights, this rifle could be a very nice long range shooter.

Bob Roller did a conversion for my Pedersoli Rolling Block years ago.  He was displeased with the softness of the parts and vowed never to do an Italian gun again, but you could  call him in West Virginia at the last number I have for him - 304.429.2454  He might be retired by now but you can give it a shot.  Also, I cannot remember if he restricted his work to the Rolling Blocks.  Might be worth a call, might not.

BTW, I lost plenty of money on this idea when I sold the Pedersoli.  No matter how dressed up it was, it was still an Italian Repro.  You might want to rethink this move.

Not sure what I wrote here is much help, but I tried.  Good luck.

Beau, I was told that the triggers for a muzzleloader would work.  Perhaps you could contact track of the Wolf and they could tell you.

Bob Roller could advise you about that I think, having been a preeminent Muzzleloader.
