USFA made O/U Derringer anyone??

Like I said, Sikes, too powerful a cartridge.  They're gonna have to start adding beef somewhere and then the size and shape goes all to hell ad then you've gotten away from the idea of a derringer.

Some of these "derringers" are as big as my pocket automatic.  No matter how good they are, or how powerful, I wouldn't have one as a gift.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. Every now and then someone waves one of those Bond Arms cannons around. I agree that they'd need to be original in size. Otherwise I sure wouldn't want one. Heck, .38 Long Colt would be enough.

Definitly need to be orginial size and I agree with the .38 LC. I had a Rem type derringer that was very close to the orginal, in .38 Spl and had a terrible tendacy to almost buck out of my hand with factory loads. The .380 ACP probably would not be bad.
