1897 parts?

I have a norinco 1897 and I want to put a trench gun heat shield on it. I know I will have to take the bead off the barrel and remove the magazine band. What else do I need for the swap? Heres a link to the part.

And whats all this about notching the barrel for a screw? Can anyone give me a picture of this notch?
Thanks

I'm guessing it will need a notch like the undertubes on the leverguns mate up - a small oval half slot where the bayo-lug screw goes through under the barrel....
