Captmack, I really appreciate the pictures of the clothing. I've got the trooper hat now, and would like to add to my clothing collection, something more military oriented.

Currently I move between the ranch hand look, then an all black outfit with a black spotted holster rig, a Rough Rider, with the blue shirt and spotted bandana, and then the typical Wah Maker get up.

I'm thinking of adding a khaki shirt to the Rough Rider pants simply because I haven't seen that much in the way of ideas. Any pictures, places to look or ideas will be gladly received.

Thanks a bunch, JD

Will I finally got my gun and then finished making my Wild Bunch rig, my gun is a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec and my holster is a Frazier No. 9 this is the style Marshal Will Wingam uses, and it really caught my eye, so with help and input from him I decided to make one for myself.

Howdy TW,

Outstanding! This Rig has a real classic look to it.

Many thanks for sharing this with us.

Howdy Johnny and JD, thanks for the kind words pards, it's much appreciated, I'm real happy with this holster, it hangs just right and has easy access, the mag pouches hold the mags. firm but can be removed without a problem, it's a perfect match for my demands.

Some pictures from my Norinco and '93. ;D
The Norinco is the standard GI parkerized version with a Ed Brown flat msh, a long trigger that a friend had lying around and double diamond grips from 2rco ( Raasco I think ).
I think it's a nice looking combo. :D

Pictures of my holster will follow after its finished.

This is my Wild Bunch Rig made by Reed Leather of Hays, NC.  He made it custom for me but it is now part of his regular line of holsters.

Hey tEN wOLVES,
I will certainly pass your words on to Dave.  I went back and took another look at your rig and then read that you made it.  Now that is something that I could not handle.....congrats on a fine job.

P.S. I also like the way you spell your alias.

Howdy Dude, and thank you, I have a great appreciation for well made gun leather, because I'm a leather worker myself, your friend Dave does quality work, and feel free to tell him I said so, and my alias for some reason just always came out that way, and after redoing it a bunch of times I decide to give up and just let it be, it's different for sure, guess like me...

The holster is on about its fourth incarnation - it started out as a shoulder holster rig I built about 35 years ago. I had to have built the belt about 30 years back, but the pouches were built just for this project. Maybe I should fill my dunk tank with black dye and make it all the same color now, eh? Nah, I kind of like the "improvised look". ;D

(edit) The pistol is a MKIV Series 70 Colt I bought new back in the late 70's when I got out of the Navy - I think I paid something like $240, brand new.

Here is my Rig. I now need to make some magazine holders for it.

The Pistol is a Rock Island Armory 1911. I've been very pleased with it so far.

COG,

Not that there's a truly beautiful rig.  I see why you make your own.  You couldn't afford to pay someone to make something like that unless you were a lottery winner!

Not to mention it would be unaffordable to buy such a fancy rig! Man, that is absolutely bee-you-tee-full!
