An attempted assassination was made on President Franklin Roosevelt in Miami, Florida, on the evening of Feb. 15, 1933.
Italian immigrant Giuseppe Zangara approached and fired five shots intended for the president.
Zangara missed his target and hit mayor Anton Cermak of Chicago and four bystanders instead.
The mayor died of his wounds 19 days later.
Zangara used a five-shot .32 caliber United States Revolver Company pistol.

My grandfather, grandmother, and my Mom & Dad were in attendance as Roosevelt just had given a short speech. Two of bystanders were near my folks.

Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin of Israel attended a peace rally in Tel Aviv’s Kings Square on Nov. 4, 1995.
Yigal Amir, a young far-right Israeli Jew shot Rabin twice, once in the arm and once in the back. Rabin died hours later in a nearby hospital.
Amir used a Beretta 84F semi-automatic pistol loaded with a mix of regular and hollow point bullets.
Amir claimed that the prime minister wanted “to give our country to the Arabs.”

It not "the initial LOOK" I'm afeared of, its "ICED Pissed" atmosphere that follows

Cool gun, too, thanks!  Dark History!  I'd say so!!  :o

Thanks Abilene. Yeah, the history on this one is a little dark but family history nonetheless.  ;)

And I would be the "Late & Lamented" Deacon if I did! I already ran the suggestion by my sweet Missus...I haven't lived this long by ignoring "The Look"!

Ain't scared on this end, her "the look" is rolling her eyes up.  I tell her they are gonna get stuck and I'll have to take her to the ER.  My favorite is the big freezer with the whole frozen lambs at Costco.  I say please can I have one and she says no.  I act like I'm gonna cry like a little kid and tell her it's better than candy. ;D

BROW / Re: Revolvers with Buffalo rifles

If I had bought the Sharps "Big Fifty" when it was introduced (~1872) I could have easily had it in '74 or '75 and then purchased a SAA in 45 Colt's. My original Rolling Block Sporting Rifle (45-70) was made sometime in the 1880s when SAAs were readily available. So...of the revolvers I own I would pick my 7-1/2" USFA Gunslinger (I hate that name) with the proper black powder frame. And if 45 Colt of course.  (smile)
