Changing 650 from .38 to .357
« on: April 09, 2018, 08:20:33 AM »
When changing a Dillon 650 from .38 Special to .357 Magnum, is a different plastic spacer required for the case feeder?  It seems all the parts are interchangeable/adjustable between these two case lengths.  But, I wonder how the case drop works when the cases are different length.

I'm really just looking for someone to assure me that buying more parts is not a requirement of changing the press over to the longer case.

Thank you for any experience you can offer on this question!!!

I'm a Dry Hole   :o   I have two 650s but I have never loaded 357 cases.  Lots and oodles of 38s but no 357s.  Twer it me, I'd just take minute and call Dillon.  Get an answer and place an order (if needed) at the same time.  Besides, you can always use more Primer Tubes.   ;D

Thanks Pard!!!

I went by Dillon today as I had other business in the Phoenix area.

They assured me I didn't need any, other pieces for the case feeder.  I'll give it a whirl tomorrow.

Thanks again for your remarks and encouragement!!!

All the best.

A.
