So far the 'Harp' hasn't said word one about scrapping the registry. He wisely chose to focus on the economy and getting the budget passed that caused his gov't to fall.
Seeing the Libs go down in flames was a joy, but not as much fun as seeing the Bloc Quebecois fly up it's own (_*_) and disappear ..... ;>)
With the socialist NDP forming the Opposition, parliamentary debate promises to be as contentious as ever, perhaps more so.
Layton and the NDP now speak for Quebec, the province that put him in power.

Wildman - keep up the good work! It isn't PC for a Canuck to be a gun owner, hunter or shooter. But, we're working on it ..... ;>)

These silly statements that 60% of Canadians oppose the Conserative brand of politics are really nonsensical since the same argument shows that 70% oppose the NDP brand and over 80% oppose the Liberal brand. Millions of Canadians voted. When we were all added up, we chose a Majority Conservative Government. Five years from now, if they don't do a good job we have an opportunity to fire them. In the mean time lets all thank God for our democracy and that we all had the privilage of choosing our government. The task at hand is for our politicans to learn to get along and do what is best for Canada. They will learn that best from how the rest of us behave toward them. If we are petty and mean they will act the same way in Parlament. If we are mature and offer solid advice Parlament will react in the same way.

I was pleased that the fellow who looked at mine simply crosschecked the date of birth, looked at my picture, smiled and handed it back.  Gotta love rural ridings !!
