TT's right - this was one great match.  Great weather, great stages, great people.  But I tell ya what, anyone that wins at True Grit Jr EARNS it.  I'm still black 'n blue from all the shotgun - but I'm still grinning as well.

MM - I'd love to get over to Branson and see you guys, but the boss is expecting a baby the first of October.  Don't think she's gonna make it that long and am walking around with a catcher's mitt just in case.  Sounds like y'all will have to uphold our, er, "Honor" over there.    But it's definitely on my calendar for next year.  Trina - try to keep MM in line for us.

As to the shotgun loads:  they had birds, I had feathers.  I think the birds won but I looked better!

Cammie - you'll have a blast out there shooting LFC and knowing you, will do super no matter what category you shoot.  Tell No Purse I hope she's feeling better now & maybe I can swing an East Coast match next year & we can give all the guys a run for their money.

Jax - you give us a call whenever you can & I'll give your best to the Lawton boys down at Lust in the Dust next month.

Camille, That Big Iron Showdown sounds like it would be an interesting match,I like these shoots were you us different types from guns in the stages. Texas and I have just shot a match called Pat Garrett Buffalo Camp, were you shot 10 stages over two days using 2 pistols a shotgun and 2 rifles (1 pistol calibre and 1 rifle calibre ) I used my Marlins 1 in 45/70 and 1 in 44/40 Texas used a 94 in 38/55 and a 73 in 44/40, you had 2 lots of rifle targets. The bigger calibre gun at targets set out further than the pistol calbre. Great Fun.

Dakota, there's a lot of cowboys around here with 3 and 4 digit SASS numbers.  The purpose of the Big Iron is to do it like they did it when they were just starting.  You get on and off horses with pistols in your holsters.  Shoot hot loads, lots of action.  Everything is on the clock you get no breaks for anything!  It's a hoot and a half.  Wish that you could be there.  Maybe this year I'll  get video and can put them up online for you.
