Could not believe what i did today , i put new wolff springs in my new vaquero today , put the darn pawl
spring in the wrong hole , yup you guessed it the screw hole , put everything back together & could not figure it out for the life of me , got the spring out with out messing the threads up, as far as the pawl spring well it's toast, had a monday on a thursday

This would be why I ain't allowed to take guns apart unless MM is home.  I would do things like that while reloading ammo too.... I ain't allowed to do that when he's not home neither!!  That's why I get the blond streaks put in!

Found me this nice l'il Uberti Sheriff's model on an auction board.  The fella sellin' it said it was from Uberti's custom shop.  Hell, I didn't know Uberti had a custom shop.

Used it box stock for a couple shoots.  That way, when I open it up, I got an idea where ta smooth 'n polish.  So I get my springs, stones, screw-'em-in-driver 'n sit at the bench.  Twist out the upper left back strap screw 'n 'TWANG'!!!!!!!!!  It flies away.  Ain't nowhere did it say the damned thing had been Rooger-ized.

Lucky I found the parts.  My shop ain't real neat er tidy......................

LOL Arcey , i got a hold of ruger yesterday & told them the story, got a good chuckle, they are sending me a spring & plunger at no charge, ruger has great customer service.

Found that SDB on ah auction board... "Excellent condition" it sez... "Sold" sez I.

Eight days later it's in my hands... Excellent condition my @$$! Yeah for 14 years old!

Called Dillon, told 'em what I had, John at Dillon sez, "Gonna send you a rebuild kit, no charge. Don't care where ya got it." Then he sent me the primer assembly (updated) and powder measure system (updated) and two new ram arms and bushings (also updated) all at no cost,( not even shipping!) over the next two months. Answered all my questions and helped with tech stuff, no problem.

Finally got to meet John at EoT this year, nice feller, he's the one got my business when I bought this new 650.
