Well, we are in Mississippi tonight, heading on down to Mobile, AL tomorrow for our oldest g'niece's graduation Friday. Gotta admit, I really like this Kia Carnival Van for traveling, holds everything we want and still has enough room to stuff a VW Beetle with all the clowns inside. And man, it rides REALLY nice.

Okay, here's the easy way to eliminate the safety. Drive the pin out that holds the safety in, remove the three parts. Take a .25 ACP case and cut it down to about an 1/8"-3/16" and Blue Lock-tite it in place. If you can find a W-W stamped case it looks even better.

I like 8-9 oz leather for unlined holsters. That's just slightly thicker than many of the ones from the later 1800s. A good wet molding and it will hold its shape well.

I am not an expert or a pro but I have made a few rigs and to me 10-12oz. seems a bit excessive. I am planning a California holster and Fair Weather Christian belt soon. It will be unlined and 7-9oz leather.

We make a similar but more of a rolled and baked enchilada aka smothered burrito, got a place down the road that does similars, more of a seafood based Mexican style place, Rita loves it because of the see food and have an awesome chili verde as well as other stuff if I'm not in the seafood mood but often get half hers.  New place also is a Salvadorian one, to spicy for Rita but would be good to order ahead and take home because on friday the KFC across the street has fried chicken guts aka fish bait. :-X

The Leather Shop / New project holster/belt

I want to start a new holster/belt project. I have been making my rigs, both holster and belts lined: 7-8 ounce outer layer, 3-4 ounce inner layer. I want to do a rig unlined. I like a heavy combination. I am thinking of using 10-12 oz. or heavier for the belt and the holster.  I'd like to get a recommendation from the group here as there is a lot of experience on this site. Thanks in advance.

I don't want to be a pest with food posts but today for dinner I made the Tortilla Egg recipe with fake Crab meat & mushrooms. It was excellent and fed the Boss & me for around ten bucks.

I sure am  and I appreciate the offer but he said he would do it. I guess I need to reduce the pixel size or something but I'm a computer illiterate.

Howdy all
I just wanted to post a couple of pictures of my Cimarron carbine in .45 Colt, now that I seem to have it functioning like it should.
I returned it to Cimarron and upon return it was much better. At that time I ordered a custom mold from 'Tom' at Accurate Molds. It seems that this bullet design was just what I needed in my so far limited tests. Within the next week I plan a more extensive test. Anyhow..........here are a couple pictures.
