US Army loads for the .50-70 Sharps Carbine
« on: November 30, 2006, 08:37:55 PM »
I read on a website that the army used 45 grains of powder in the .50-70 Sharps carbines to lessen the recoil. Can anyone verify this? If true, what would they have filled the air space with?
