Hi all,
I posted in another area about my new Cimarron 1873 short rifle. The gun is beautiful. I bought the gun from my smith/ FFL. When the gun came in upon inspection it had a very small crack in the stock, where the wood meets the reciever!I initially was just going to blow it off as the crack was so small, but the smith told me as I shoot it, the crack will worsen and it should be sent back. My smith handled everything. Cimarron told my smith over the phone that they would just send me a new rifle, and they emailed my smith a paid return authorization. Cimarron received the gun on Feb 15, now it’s only been 6 working days since they received the gun. But I’ve read some pretty bad things about Cimarron’z customer service. I realize complaints travel faster than satisfied people. But I figure if anybody would know how good Cimarron customer service is it would be you guys who are really into Cimarron. Taylor’s, Uberti etc. I was thinking even though they told my smith over the phone that they would just send me a new rifle, that could change and they may instead opt to repair the crack, which is fine with me as long as it’s done right and not noticeable! So I’d appreciate any experience’s y’all have had with Cimarron customer service, and how long should I wait before I contact Cimarron on a status of the rifle?
Thanks Much
Paul
