broken spring help!

Hi all. Im new here and just wanted to start off with a big thank you.

I'm having trouble with my new Uberti Colt clone. When the hammer is fully cocked, the cylinder will rotate as if it was in half cock.
Is this a broken spring and if so which one and is it hard to replace?

Broken bolt spring - same thing happened to one of my Hombres.  I replaced the stock springs with coil wire springs.  It's an easy fix once you have the parts.

The bolt spring is a good guess.  But, the only way to tell for sure what is wrong is to take the gun apart.  It is a very simple mechanism.  Remove the back strap and trigger guard and take a look in there.

Yeah, the two most likely items to break in the SAA design are the trigger/bolt spring (usually the "bolt" leg of the spring) and the leaf-type hand spring.  But most of the Italian SAA copies these days have a coil hand spring (like Ruger) which takes care of that problem, although it does tend to cause a problem of getting the spring and/or plunger lost if the gun is taken apart by someone who doesn't know those parts are there

If and when you lose that little hand spring, there is a really good replacement spring in cheap throw away cigarette lighters.

FWIW, I never liked a coil bolt spring as they give a "mushy" feel and sometimes give a dangerously low trigger pull.
