Evening all.
I now own a Ruger Super Blackhawk 5.5” Stainless model. The store didn’t have any S&W revolvers in stock of any caliber. Maybe the single action will save me money on ammo, with the being slower to cock and all that.
I also picked up some components to feed the new beast, including brass (100 each magnum and special, Starline), some Barnes XPB bullets should I decide to carry this piece while hunting (CA nonlead ammo requirements for hunting), and dies.
Mrs TK and I had a pleasant Veterans/Armistice Day. I enjoyed my free cup of coffee from Starbucks, which I sipped while conversing with the commander of of the local VFW post. We then went for Mrs TK to ride her horse while I increased my gun collection. We then went to dinner at a local family owned diner, which is classic car themed. It’s not every day that you get to eat a ribeye from a plate shaped like a hubcap while listening to Buddy Holly and enjoying professional photographs of showroom ready Studebaker, Packards, Corvettes and Roadrunners.
Y’all keep your powder dry.
