What would be the correct nomenclature for the sling that went on the Winchester 1866 Musket? Going to try to find one at the MACA show in Balmer next month.

Ah, Um, Well, Rifle Sling?? Or, perhaps Musket Sling?? I doubt it would be much, if any different than the Reproduction slings offered for the Martial Henry Rifle. Maybe. I doubt the average, or above average Punter would know the difference.

That’s what I saw too Deacon. A loop with a double headed brass button on the bottom with a buckle for adjustment on the other end. As the sling swivels are small on my ‘66 it would need to be 1 inch wide.
