Black powder shoot at the Jesse James Farm

Participants fire at the ace of spades. The Jesse James Farm and Museum in Kearney was the site of a “black powder shoot” Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009. The shootout drew marksmen with cap and ball revolvers or frontier cartridge revolvers in period dress, and targets – such as a candle flame, ace of spades (photocopies), and a woodpecker, – related to the story of James.
