A Victim Of Circumstance
Parsons, Kan. June 8

Ex-Deputy Registor of Deeds Dick Kieser, of this county, has been found guilty of embezzlement by the district court of Elk County, Kan. and sentenced to the penitentiary for one year.  The charges arose from a land trade and the judge in passing sentence said that the prisoner was undoubtedly the victim of circumstances, and he would be only too willing to aid him in getting a pardon.
