Very serious bunch of players.  Do you have any idea of the year this was?

I would guess late 1920's.  Just a guess!

As I look again.  One player to the right of the trophy sitting may be Bill Kill.

I just talked to Mother and she has a copy of that picture.  It was probably taken in 1929, which is the year her oldest sister graduated.  She is going to look for the picture and get back to me.  I knew when I saw that picture that I had seen it before!

#5
1929 Champions - probably district champions

Back row:  Stanley Hauenstein, Marion Lowery, Carl Igel, coach, (he later went on to coach at KU), Rex Finley, Bill Gibson.

Front Row: Foyd Sprague, Roy Olsen, Bill Kill, Birl Brown.

Mother said she also had pictures of the girls track teams that year!  If I get to go up there (since the weather is such a factor--that's why I said "IF") may be I can put them out.

Ole Granny

Thank you!  I was sure someone would know.  Mystery solved.  Looking forward to the Girl's Track Team picture.

I cannot believe I did not recognize Roy Olson.
