Linda Sue Loebeck, age 73, a resident of Augusta, Kansas, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 1, 2022.  She was born August 5, 1948 in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, the daughter of Louis Connard and Grace Marie (Griffith) Sharp.

After Linda's father retired from the military service, her family spent a brief time in Wichita, Kansas before settling in Howard, Kansas.  Linda enjoyed growing up in the Howard community with her large family that included 8 siblings.  She graduated from Howard High School with the Class of 1966.  She was involved in many school activities during her youth.

After high school, Linda attended classes at Pittsburg State College in Pittsburg, Kansas.  She then moved to Emporia, Kansas where she met and later married Jim Loebeck on March 22, 1968.  The couple had two sons, David Robert and Donald Charles.

Linda attended Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas where she studied financial accounting.  She spent most of her career doing accounting for the firm, Agle & Gaeddert, regionally for Sonic Drive-In, and later Salina Steel.  In 1993, Linda moved into the banking industry working for Bank 10 Belton.  She later finished her career at Bank of America in Wichita, Kansas where she retired in 2011.

The great loves of her life were her sons and grandchildren.  She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family.  One constant in Linda's life was a huge heart for animals, especially dogs.  Each chapter of her life journey has included a canine companion.  Linda's latest loves are her two dogs, Sara and Lea.

Linda is survived by her sons, David Robert (Sandy) Loebeck of Owasso, Oklahoma, Donald Charles Loebeck of Augusta, Kansas, and Bradley Wayne Loebeck of Phoenix, Arizona; her siblings, Martin (Pam) Sharp of Wichita, Kansas, Connie (Ronald) Shipman of Marion, Kansas, Myrna (Tom) Leckliter of El Dorado, Kansas, and Robert (Cindy) Sharp of Severy, Kansas; grandchildren, Eric Loebeck, Cody Loebeck, and Brock Loebeck; granddaughter, Amanda Loebeck; and great-grandchildren, Colton Loebeck and Seryna Loebeck.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Grace Sharp; her half-sister, Joan (Noakes) Karsing; her half-brother, Richard Noakes; and her sisters, Sharon (Sharp) Schouten and Judy (Sharp) Schouten.

Services were held on March 11, 2022 at Carlson & Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado, Kansas.  Burial followed at Piedmont Cemetery in Piedmont, Kansas.  Carlson & Kirby-Morris Funeral Home of El Dorado, Kansas was entrusted with arrangements.
