Terrell A. Guillory II, 67, of Howard, Kansas, passed away on February 27, 2022 at Montgomery Place Nursing Home in Independence, Kansas.  He was born October 12, 1954 in Waco, Texas, the only chjild of Terrell A., Sr.  and Angela (Marshall) Guillory.

Terrell and his third wife, Mary Lynne Thompson, met in Chanute, Kansas in 2001 and were married in 2007 in Howard, Kansas.  They divorced in 2016.

Terrell was a graduate of Issaquah High School in Washington and attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas.  He worked in graphic design and screenprinting and as an administrative assistant.  After moving to Wichita, Kansas, he studied computer science and wrote tax software for CCH there.  He most recently was a veterinary assistant at Howard Veterinary Clinic in Howard, Kasnas.  It was this work that gave him the greatest pleasure.

Terrell was a United States Navy veteran, serving aboard the John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier in the early 1970s.  He lived all over the United States including Indiana, Texas, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.  He most recently called Southeast Kansas his home where he enjoyed the slower pace of small-town life and the close friendships he made there.

Terrell was a member of the former New Thought Community Church in Wichita, Kansas.  Visiting the Creative Life Spiritual Center in Spring, Texasa was a highlight of recent travels.  He volunteered with Compeer at the Mental Health Association of South Central Kasnas, served on the Board of Directors of the Howard City Library, and was a member of the Howard Lions Club.  He had many intersts including reading, tinkering with computers, listening to music, woodworking, and puttering around the home place.  He also loved sailing and anything related to boat-building.

Terrell was kind to all he met.  He was cheerful and generous with friends and strangers alike.  He was best known for his love of animals, his gift with words, and his delightful sense of humor.
