Gerald Lee Huntington, age 92, longtime Longton, Kansas resident, passed away September 25, 2021 in Delaware, Oklahoma.  He was born August 1, 1929 in Grenola, Kansas to Dee A. and Maude E. (McClure) Huntington.

Gerald was raised in and attended school in Grenola and graduated from Moline High School in Moline, Kansas.  After graduation, he attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas and then served in the United States Navy.  On July 25, 1952, he married Virginia Brace in Newport, Rhode Island.  Gerald was a longtime farmer and rancher in the Elk County, Kansas area.

Survivors include two sons, John David (Sheila) Huntington of Longton, Kansas and Mark Lee (Stefanie) Huntington of Delaware, Oklahoma; one daughter, Jane Ellen (Steve) Osburn of Elk City, Kansas; six grandchildren, Allison and Brace (Heather) Osburn, Kyle and Brittney Huntington, and Dylan (Britney) Hammons and Marshal Huntington; two great-grandchildren, Amerlia Osburn and Chett Hammons; and numerous members of his extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Virginia.

A memorial Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with inurnment at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the Zach Webb Family Funeral Service, 1475 S. 10th Street, Independence, Kansas 67301 which has been entrusted with arrangements.
