Darline Louise Dameron, age 87, of Haysvile, Kansas, passed away January 1, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.  She was born June 24, 1933 in Greenwich, Kansas to John Edgar "Ed" and Alice Elizabeth (Jones) Goodnight.

Darline grew up in Howard, Kansas alongside three siblings, Betty, Joyce, and Jack.  She graduated from Howrd High School with the Class of 1951.  On June 24, 1955, she married Richard Barrett.  They lived in Coffeyville, Kansas and had two children, Gary and Karen.  Darline ws a homemaker while married to Richard, staying at home to raise the children.  They later divorced.  Darline moved to Wichita, Kansas, and on August 5, 1987, she married Darrel Dameron, joining their young families together making one happy family.  They were married nearly 50 years until he passed way in 2017.

While Darline was a stay-at-home mom to begin with, once she moved to Wichita, she went to work at the Sedgwick County Courthouse as a bookkeeper.  She then went to work for Kendall, Inc. and worked there until she retired in 1990.  She liked to read books and listen to music.  Her family ws the most important part of her life, and she loved being a mom and grandma.

Darline is survived by her children, Gary Barrett of Wichita, Kansas, Chad Dameron of Peabody, Kansas, Bryan Dameron of Haysville, Kansas, and Karen Carlile of Derby, Kansas; her grandchildren, Brandi Carlile, Krystal Carlile, Zach (Amy) Dameron, Corey Barrett, Heather Dameron, and Jessie Dameron; great-grandchidlren,  Devyn La, Jayse Wade, Ridley Dameron, Ellie Dameron, Dawsyn Gardner, Aalyvia Palas, and Tucker Crawford; her sisters, Betty Goodnight and Joyce Giesy, both of Houston, Texas; and her sister-in-law, Louise Goodnight of Wichita, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrel Dameron; and her brother, Jack Goodnight.

Graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas.  Memorial contributions in Darline's name can be made to the American Heart Association or the Haysville United Methodist Church and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349 has been entrusted with arrangments.
