Elk County native Mark Byard has a blog in which he writes about matters of spirit and faith once a week.  Along with the excellent writing, he includes a photo of a structure on the landscape or of the landscape itself from the many he has taken, starting in the '70's.  Often the photo is of something or somewhere in Elk County and the surrounding area.

For example, the picture this week is "Elk River at the Falls" taken in 2010 from a not so common perspective.  Four weeks ago it is a 1984 picture of the well-known former landmark, Border Schoolhouse.

I encourage all to take a peek!

Deep, dark depression, excessive misery
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all
Gloom, despair, and agony on me"

I thought I was an Ayn Randian until I decided it wasn't in my best self-interest.

Totally agree!  Also, lots of interesting stories.  I will be back to read more.

But rather openings where our loved ones,
Shine down to let us know they are happy."
