Many years ago I was in England and had good fortune to observe the English Parliament in action. I was shocked when I heard the following said of a member: (all in a very polite tone)

"What my highly honored colleague; the notorious cork slaking bastard of Cornwall failed to address..."  Come to find out his highly honored colleague from Cornwall was from an illegitimate line of the Duke of Cornwall. Also, he owned a business that processed cork in Calcium Hydroxide for use in beer and wine making. It was an amazing use of language to insult someone without actually doing so, just because of how it sounded. (I'll see if I can find a good You-Tube video of Parliament in session politely insulting each other). Glad to see the forum taking a nicer tone towards their fellow members.
