Patsy R. Davison
(September 18, 1927 - November 19, 2012)

Patsy R. Davison, age 85, of Williamsburg, Kansas, died Monday, November 19, 2012. She was born on Sunday, September 18, 1927, in Monmouth, Kansas, the daughter of Alva M. and Stella F. (Ruth) Marchbanks.

Patsy lived in Oswego, Grenola, Moline and Oxford, Kansas from 1949 to 1968 moving to Williamsburg in 1968 where she made her home until her death.



She graduated from Crawford Community High School with the class of 1944.



On August 31, 1947 Patsy was united in marriage with William S. Davison at McCune Methodist Church, McCune, Kansas. He survives of the home.


Patsy was a lifelong homemaker working at State Bank of Pittsburg, Kansas from 1944 to 1947.



She was a member of the Williamsburg United Methodist Church and the Sadana Chapter #194, Order of the Eastern Star, Williamsburg. Patsy was an active volunteer for the Williamsburg Library and participated on the election board. She was also active in school activities as a school Administrator's wife.

She is survived by her: Husband – of 65 years William Davison of the home Daughter – Nancy Long of Overland Park, Kansas Son – Alan Davison and his wife Debbie of Richland, Missouri Grandchildren – Christopher Long & Christine Enquist-Long of Wichita, Kansas; Katie Long Speakes & Jason Speakes of Arlington, Texas; David Davison of Rolla, Missouri; and Amanda Davison Ferguson & Comador Ferguson of Clarksville, Tennessee Great-Grandchildren – Claire & Campbell Speakes of Arlington, Texas; Isabelle Long & Alex Enquist of Wichita, Kansas Sister – Lana Surridge of Parsons, Kansas Sister-in-law – Helen Marchbanks of Tulsa, Oklahoma


She is preceded in death by her: Parents – Alva & Stella Marchbanks Brother – Merle Marchbanks Son-in-law – Dennis Long


SERVICES: Funeral Services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 23, 2012.



VISITATION: Family will meet with friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Friday prior to service.


CEMETERY: Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kansas

Pat and Bill Davison lived in Moline during my high school years and Bill was the Superintendent at Moline School.  Their children Nancy and Alan attended grade school at Moline.  Bill and Pat were at the Alumni Banquet last year as they were many years.
