Note to readers-- in scanning the copy of the dance program, it was too large to go on here, and in shrinking/condensing the copy, the printing became to fuzzy to read, so I am transcribing it the best I can.

DORTHA MAE ROBERTS

School of Dancing

I wish to express my thanks and appreciation to Mr. Gotobed and all, who in any way gave assistance, for their splendid co-operation.

ENROLL NOW!

Jody also included a picture of Dortha Mae Roberts, but it was too dark to include.  In scanning, it looked like a "dark blob."  Dortha was the daughter of Jess and Marie Roberts.  Dortha also married and had two daughters, Roberta Lee and  Claudia Wilkes.  Dortha's obituary is posted on the obit board.

Janet Harrington

I LOVE THIS!!!!!  I'm going to print a copy and take it out to Carmalita Beaty.  She will get a big kick out of this.

Roberta Wilkes

This is Roberta Wilkes writing.  I am Dortha Roberts' daughter.  I would be most interested in a copy of the program and the picture if there is any way to get it.

Wow!  This is great!  At first glance I see four of my first cousins in the program, the Redmonds and Marjorie Leonard.  Thanks for posting it.  Marjorie Leonard was 13, Edith Redmond was 9 and the twins, Bill and Bob Redmond were 7.  I had never heard anything about them being in anything like this.  Wow!

Larryj
HELP!  I'm talking and I can't shut up!

I came...  I saw...  I had NO idea what was going on...

Janet, Carmy passed away several years ago. I agree she would have really got a charge out of this though.

Janet Harrington

i am pretty sure that I printed that program off and took it out to Carmalita. I am sure we visited about it, but that conversation has left this old mind.

frawin

Janet my mistake, I didn't see the date of your original post. Sorry
