August '25 Election Results

Adieu to Jennifer and Rob. Hard to believe the apparent pallor cast toward Jennifer because of her husband's legal response to the SO's and DA's abridgment of his, and all of our, Rights. In my 14 years of observation she has consistently been a steward of the taxpayers' money, looking only to spend when and where spending was necessary. Taxpayers will miss her voice, and Rob's as well.

So what about a new city council in 5 months with two returning big spenders! Imagine the consequence if you can. I'm assuming here that the top two finishers in this primary will also be the top two in November. I'll eat my words if that isn't so, but I wonder how the City can justify funding two election cycles for council seats. Just line them all up in November, save some money, and have the same outcome.

Beware of big spending come January. That is the consequence. We will see spending approved unanimously. How long ago was a million bucks approved by Council to chip seal our town's roads? How much of town was done, maybe half? How long before the chip seal started breaking up, maybe 2 years? Who sat on City Council then? Oh . . . Stand by for more spending, stand by for increased City budgets, stand by for increases in property taxes, stand by for more attempts to solicit other people's money in terms of grants and subsidies.

And stand by for a 5 million dollar sewer system lining that will last less than 5 years before it begins to crack and leak again, and will be more expensive to patch than our current 50-year old system. And stand by to have the explanation that it is a deal because 80% of the costs can be granted or subsidized away!! Yippee!

But it doesn't work that way does it?! Nothing is free. Somebody always pays the invoice. Taxpayers will ultimately pay the grant and subsidy money. Just not taxpayers solely in Longton. I hope that is not okay with everyone in Longton. That is the way big business and big government work to extract our wealth and leave poor Americans debt riddled. That is why main street Longton is vacant and/or torn down.

Good luck Longtonites, you elected the Council, you get to enjoy the indebtedness.

Farewell Jennifer. May the next County and the next City treat you with the same honor you gave us.

The Inherent Corruption In Government - Part 2
How Party Politics Destroys Independent Thought and Liberty

Noah Webster [1758-1843, attorney, educator] didn't mince words; "Nothing is more dangerous to the cause of truth and liberty than a party-spirit." Over 200 years ago, he saw the danger of trading truth and principle for party loyalty. In other words, when people stop thinking and start following, liberty doesn't stand a chance. Here is Webster's message, step by step.

Step One: Independence Is Surrendered.
"When men become members of a political club, they lose their individual independence of mind. They lose their impartiality of thinking and acting, and become the dupes of other men."

Step 2: Fair judgment disappears.
"The moment a man is attached to a club, his mind is not free:" This is the foundation of the warning. If the mind isn't free, the person isn't either. Obedience replaces curiosity. Conformity replaces conviction.

 Step 3: Tribalism replaces reason.
"He receives a bias from the opinions of the party:" Suddenly, positions change. What was once wrong becomes right - because the party line says so.
"A question indifferent to him, is no longer indifferent, when it materially effects a brother of the society." Tribal politics hijack priorities. Issues that were once irrelevant become flashpoints - not because of principle, but because the party has something to gain.
"He is not left to act for himself; he is bound in honor to take part with the society."
Dissent becomes disloyalty. Acting from conscience is frowned upon. Silence becomes complicity.
"His pride and his prejudices, if at war with his opinion, will commonly obtain the victory;" Even when there's inner conflict - when something feels off - pride usually wins.
"And rather than incur the ridicule or censure of his associates, he will countenance their measures, at all hazards;" Avoiding shame becomes the goal. To keep status and favor, people go along - supporting policies and actions they'd never accept from the other side.
"And thus an independent freeman is converted into a mere walking machine, a convenient engine of party leaders."

Step 4: A Once-Free Mind Becomes An Obedient Tool.
No different from a campaign sign or a soundbite. Reliable, predictable - and utterly controlled. That's what party loyalty creates: blind obedience packaged as virtue.
"Nothing is more dangerous to the cause of truth and liberty than a party-spirit." Not foreign enemies. Not economic collapse. Not even war. Party-spirit.
Because when winning becomes the goal, truth is the casualty. And when loyalty to a party overrides loyalty to liberty, the Constitution becomes optional. Power is excused. Abuse is rationalized.
This corruption isn't limited to one side. It infects every corner of the political establishment - and most of the grassroots - today.
The loudest defenders of "freedom" often vanish when their team is the one in power. The same people who scream about overreach look the other way when it's coming from their side.
"An independent freeman is converted into a mere walking machine, a convenient engine of party leaders."

Webster's warnings still hit like a hammer.
It wasn't just about politicians. It was about everyone willing to trade principle for party. Those whose principles shift depending on which party is doing it were never patriots. They're pawns. And nothing is more dangerous to liberty than letting pawns pretend they stand for freedom.

The Inherent Corruption In Government - Part 1

And please understand, the MAGA-hats have the same intentions for their enemies, both foreign and domestic.

Here is the link:  https://www.lewrockwell.com/lrc-blog/breaking-dni-tulsi-gabbard-confirms-former-president-obama-authorized-assassination-attempt-on-trump/

And here is an excerpt:
Redacted transcripts reveal that Obama, under the pretense of national security, convened an off the books task force of senior intelligence officials and military advisors at Camp David in late December. One document, marked Eyes Only 44, reads: "The threat Trump poses to institutional stability cannot be overstated. Removal, if necessary, is justified." While Obama has not commented publicly, legal teams are reportedly mobilizing behind the scenes. As the files prepare to go public, the country teeters on the edge of political reckoning, and the question now isn't whether there was a plot, but how far it went, and who else was involved.

Remember These Findings
They Are Crucial to Natural Rights and Freedom

- 16 Am Jur 2d, Sec 177 late 2s, Sec 256
"No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law and no courts are bound to enforce it."

– Marbury v. Madison, 5 U.S. 137 (1803)
"A law repugnant to the Constitution is void. An act of Congress repugnant to the Constitution cannot become a law. The Constitution supersedes all other laws and the individual's rights shall be liberally enforced in favor of him, the clearly intended and expressly designated beneficiary."

– Ex parte Siebold, 100 U.S. 371 (1879)
"An unconstitutional law is void and is as no law. An offense created by it is not crime. A conviction under it is not merely erroneous but is illegal and void and cannot be used as a legal cause of imprisonment."

– Norton v. Shelby County, 118 U.S. 425 (1886)
"An unconstitutional act is not law. It confers no rights; it imposes no duties; affords no protection; it creates no office. It is, in legal contemplation, as inoperative as though it had never been passed."

– Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436 (1966)
"Where rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule-making or legislation which would abrogate them."

– 16 American Jurisprudence 2d, Sec. 256
"No one is bound to obey an unconstitutional law, and no courts are bound to enforce it. The general rule is that an unconstitutional statute, whether federal or state, though having the form and name of law, is in reality no law, but is wholly void and ineffective for any purpose, since unconstitutionality dates from the time of its enactment, and not merely from the date of the decision so branding it. AN UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAW, in legal contemplation, IS AS INOPERATIVE AS IF IT HAD NEVER BEEN PASSED.

That is the worst performance in 52 years. And that is just the beginning of the dollar's decline. It is time to undo the damage Nixon did to our monetary system.
