Born on October 19, 1999 in Phoenix, Arizona, Cailey lived a life filled with laughter, love, determination, and a personality that was impossible to forget.
Cailey was funny, stubborn, outgoing, caring, extremely protective of the people she loved, and as those closest to her would tell you, just a little bouji. She knew who she was, loved the people in her life deeply, and had a way of leaving an impression wherever she went.
Cailey graduated from Central of Burden High School in Burden, Kansas in 2017 before attending Kansas State University where she spent six years working toward her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, graduating in 2023. Her love for K-State went far beyond her years in Manhattan. If the Wildcats were playing on a Saturday, there was a good chance you would be greeted by her asking, "What is today? It's Caturday!". She was a Wildcat through and through.
Cailey worked at Gage Chiropractic Center in Derby, Kansas. Outside of work, she loved cooking and meal prepping, listening to Megan Moroney, cacti, teddy bears, all things pink, and spending time with her beloved dog, Boone, and cat, Eloise. More than anything, Cailey loved being with her family and the people she cared about. She brought energy with her wherever she went. When Cailey was ready to party, everyone else had better be ready, too. Going to bed didn't necessarily mean the party was over. Those who tried could expect Cailey to wake them up early the next morning because she was still going -- and she expected them to get up and join her. That was Cailey. She loved big, laughed hard, had fun, spoke her mind, and protected her people fiercely.
Cailey shared her life with her boyfriend, Garrett Bacon with whom she was looking forward to a future filled with marriage, a family, and all of the plans they were beginning to make together. The love they shared and the future they envisioned together will forever be part of Cailey's story.
Cailey leaves behind her mother, Shannon Tillapaugh; grandmother, Carol Tillapaugh; sisters, Taivyn Tillapaugh and Jaicey Tillapaugh; nephew, Airion Bryant;' boyfriend, Garrett Bacon; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and others whose lives are forever changed because Cailey was part of them. She was preceded in death by her Papa, Jon Tillapaugh, and her great-grandfather, George Kenyon.

A Celebration of Life for Cailey will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. at the Grenola Community building in Grenola, Kansas. Last post by patyrn - September 07, 2026, 11:36:49 AMRichard Lee Wells, age 87, of Grenola, Kansas, passed away on August 31, 2026 at his home. He was born February 21, 1939 in Hale, Missouri, the youngest child of six born to Hugh and Lela (Hundley) Wells.
Richard's early education was in a one-room school in Tina, Missouri, graduating from Tina-Avalon High School in 1956. He worked at Cessna Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas before marrying Renee Welborn on July 19, 1959. Richard and Renee were married for 62 years until her death on March 29, 2004.
Richard and Renee lived in Winfield, Kansas and Douglass, Kansas before moving to Grenola, Kansas and purchasing the lumberyard and hardware store there in 1963. Richard continued this business and also established Wells Lumber and Hardware in Burden, Kansas, retiring after 45 years in the retail business. He was a member of the Grenola Volunteer Fire Department, serving as Fire Chief for 25 years.
Survivors include four children, Melanie (Todd) Hockenbury, Debbie (Darryl) Littrell, Jeff (Janelle) Wells, and Denise (Jake) Liebau; his brother, Donald Wells; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Renee; and three sisters and a brother.
Graveside services were held on September 4, 2026 at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas. Memorials have been suggested to either the Grenola Senior Center, the Grenola Fire Department, or Joseph's Storehouse in Burden and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com. Services were under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.

Betty Elenor Lyon, born Betty Elenor Law, passed away on Sunday August 23, 2026, at The Journey Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born on July 6, 1940, in Oshkosh, Nebraska, and lived a life marked by faith, care for others, and deep devotion to family.
Betty attended schools in Oshkosh, Nebraska, and in Wichita, later receiving her GED. She went on to spend many years serving others through her work as director of a daycare and as a paraprofessional in the Howard school district. She was especially gifted at working with children and was known for her patience and for having a way with children that others could not match. Her work with special needs children reflected the compassion, steadiness, and kindness that shaped so much of her life.
Her interests brought warmth and personality to her home and to those who knew her well. Betty was a collector of cardinals and angels, and she found joy in the simple beauty they represented. She loved children deeply, and that love was evident not only in her profession, but in the way she lived and served others each day.
Faith was also a guiding part of Betty's life. She was a pastor's wife in the Wesleyan Church for 30 years, sharing in a life of ministry and church family that remained important to her through the years.
Betty is survived by her children and their families: her son Lon Lyon and his wife, Kim, of Dewey, Oklahoma; her daughter Twila McCammon and her husband, Gale, of Independence, Kansas; her son Wes Lyon and his wife, Melissa, of Silverton, Idaho; and her daughter-in-law, Merly Lyon of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her siblings, Vivian Dietrich of Mulvane, Kansas, Barbara Elkins of Nebraska, and Terry Law of Shell Knob, Missouri. Betty is survived by 10 grandchildren and 19 grandchildren. These family members, along with all who shared in her life, carry forward the memory of her love, her patience, and her faithful spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis Lyon and Garrold Lyon; by her infant daughter, Betty Lou Lyon; her son Kevin Lyon, by her father, Clyde Law; by her mother, Ruth Smith Law; and by her siblings Virgil Law, Marvin Law, Twila Robbins, Shirley Bradbury, Larry Law, Rodney Law.
Betty will be remembered as a woman of compassion, faith, and quiet strength. Her life touched children, family, church, and community in lasting ways, and her memory will remain a blessing to those who knew and loved her.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wickham Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service located at 510 N. 7th St. Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 26, from 9:00-9:30 am at the funeral home in Fredonia, with graveside services at 10 am, at Farmington Cemetery located at 8467 1800 Rd. in Fredonia.

He was 83 years old. He was born on July 24, 1943 in Kansas and spent much of his life rooted in the community and countryside he loved so deeply. He graduated from Howard High
school in Howard, Kansas with the Class of 1961.
A true steward of the land, he took great satisfaction in raising cattle, tending the homestead, and nurturing the rolling Kansas landscape that shaped him. He spent much of his adult life in Atlanta, Georgia building a company and being a loving father. He was a financially astute investor and property owner, known for his sharp and steady hand in all matters of business. When he wasn't working the land or managing his holdings, Bob could be found with a good book in hand, feeding a lifelong love of reading.
Those who knew Bob would tell you he was principled, steadfast, and grounded, a man of quiet dignity and self-assurance who led by example. The proudest chapters of his life were marrying the love of his life, Willie Adams, and being a devoted father to their daughter, Lauren (Adams) Jones.
Guided by a lifelong and deeply committed Catholic faith, Bob was a devoted parishioner whose belief was the foundation of everything he did. He now rests in the arms of the Lord he served so faithfully.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Willie Marie Adams; his daughter, Lauren (Adams) Jones and granddaughter Florence Bea Jones; adopted daughter, Kristina Graham; and stepsons Bart Dorsey and Mark Dorsey who each held a special place in his heart and family.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas with Mass of Christian Burial Rites to start at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. He was born on December 22, 1945 to Frank and Darlene (VanBuskirk) Bruner in Sedan, Kansas. He was the first child born and would later become big brother to Alan and Perry.
Rod was raised on the family farm southwest of Moline, Kansas and attended elementary through high school in the Moline Schools, graduating with the Class of 1963. He made many lifelong friends while in school, and these friendships were very special to him. He was a proud Moline Hornet and rarely missed an Alumni Banquet. After graduation, Rod worked several different jobs. He worked as an equipment operator for Shore & Sons, worked a stint for Boeing, cowboyed for local ranchers, did some bull dogging in the rodeo circuit, and worked in the oil fields, even spending time at Camp Lonely in Alaska on a rig.
In 1977, Rod went to horse shoeing school in Oklahoma. While there, he met a great buddy who told him about the Double JJ Resort Ranch in Michigan. With his father's blessing, Rod went to the double JJ which provided many experiences and adventures which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also met Janis Palmer there, and the two were wed in November 1979. The couple later divorced in 2001, but they shared many fond memories and love in the years in between. He left Double JJ in 1985 and traveled all over the country to at least 9 different states working and training buggy, cutting, reining, and pleasure horses. He was a fantastic horseman, covering every riding style imaginable, even English. Clients wanted him, and trainers envied him. He trained at the Cozy Point Ranch in Woody Creek, Colorado in the mid 1980s before moving to the Triple B Equestrian Center in California where he found incredible success. Fostering youth was important to Rod which he lived out every day of his adult life. His horse training adventures took him to Italy in 1998, traveling with his loyal companion, Sadie, his cow dog. The stories these two shared together were plentiful and memorable. After returning from Italy, Rod spent some time in Chicago as a limo driver. He never knew a stranger, and every person that had a chance meeting with him became a fast friend.
Rod returned to Elk County in 2001 after his father's health issues. The ranch needed him, and he answered the call. Over the next 25 years, Rod tended to his cattle, helped countless neighbors and cowboys, enjoyed coffee at the feed store and the Cambridge Cafe, visited the sale barn, respected the land, and took care of his family. He loved his life and still traveled when he wanted and enjoyed time with friends. Most evenings and weekends, he could be found in the bleachers at a ballgame, tournament, rodeo, stock show, or any other event that was happening where he could support the kids. He was well loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Rod was a member of the Elk County Rodeo Association and the Moline Alumni Association. He faithfully attended church, first at the Elk Falls Methodist Church and most recently at the Grenola Methodist church.
Survivors include his brother, Alan Bruner of Moline, Kansas; niece, Jessice Bruner; nephew, Joshua Bruner; several cousins, and a host of friends that were lucky enough to be called family. Rod was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene, his father, Frank, and his brother, Perry.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Moline Cemetery in Moline, Kansas. Family and friend may gather after the service at the T Bar Ranch west of Moline from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to share memories of the wonderful life that Rod lived. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Elk County Rodeo Association or the Moline Alumni Association. Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Obituaries / DELLINGER, Donna Lou (Sanborn)...
Last post by patyrn - August 12, 2026, 12:33:31 AMDonna Lou Dellinger passed away on August 10, 2026, in Eureka, Kansas. She was born on May 20, 1937, to Oremand and Helen (Sterling) Sanborn in Caney, Kansas.
Her family moved to Howard, Kansas when she was a young child, but she and her mother returned to Caney while Ormand was in the Army during World War II. Upon his return, the family returned to Howard where Donna graduated from Howard High School in 1955. During her high school years, she worked at the local grocery store and assisted in daycare.
On April 2, 1955, Donna married Walter "Jerry" Dellinger at her parents' home in Howard. When Jerry was employed at Cessna Aircraft, they relocated to Wichita, Kansas and later to Haysville, Kansas. Throughout their sons' education, Donna was actively involved in school activities and serving as Treasurer of the PTA for multiple years. She was always available to assist her family in every way possible.
Donna and Jerry enjoyed attending many western dances, seeing country performers, family fishing trips, and water skiing at numerous lakes throughout Oklahoma, and their cabin at Fall River Lake. Through the years, Donna assisted with the efforts on the farm including planting and harvesting and assisting in sorting and identifying and matching cattle and calves. After retiring and returning to Howard, she grew to enjoy the quieter pace of life in the country.
Donna is survived by her husband, Jerry; sons, Ron (Lori Hunt) Dellinger of Howard, Kansas and Phil (Debbie) of Clearfield, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Lewis "Cap" Caplan and Autumn (Charles) Drake; 8 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Joel.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service time at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas. Burial will follow at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard. Memorials in her memory have been suggested to either The Dellinger Museum, the Howard Senior Center, or Good Shepherd Hospice and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.

Last post by patyrn - August 11, 2026, 11:07:18 PMMaxwell C. "Max" Beckenholdt departed this life on August 6, 2026, at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Ethel and Engel Beckenholdt. He was born on February 2, 1940.
Max lived a great long life full of love, mostly at his family farm in Chautauqua County, Kansas. He served a short amount of time in the military and then helped his father on the pig farm. Some of his best accomplishments in life were becoming a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, starting an oil business, and cattle ranching with his son and being able to pass that knowledge along. He also was a school bus driver for many years.
Survivors include his son, Clay (Ellyse Basler) Becklenholdt of Howard, Kansas; his sister, Glee Eby of Wichita, Kansas; his granddaughters, Alizah Basler and her daughter, Lila, Chelsea Myers and her children, and Makala Clawson and her son, Brenton; and his grandsons, Timmy Basler and his children and Ryan Beckenholdt and his children. Max is preceded in death by his parents, Ethal and Engle Beckenholdt; his brother, Rance Howard; his granddaughter, Amber Beckenholdt; his grandson, Justin Ware; and his wife, Joan Beckenholdt.

Last post by patyrn - July 30, 2026, 06:53:57 PMDoris Lee Niblack-Taylor, age 89, passed away on July 28, 2026 at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, Kansas. She was born at home in Moline, Kansas on October 16, 1938 to Walter Lee and Leta Fern (Miller) Adkins.
Doris started school in Bowlegs, Oklahoma in 1st grade. 2nd and part of 3rd grade was spent in Okemah, Oklahoma. Finishing 3rd and completing 4th grade in Shidler, Oklahoma, the family moved to Wewoka, Oklahoma where she continued her education, graduating from high school in Wewoka.
After graduation, she married Marion Clyde Niblack in May 1954. They moved to Amarillo Texas and then to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for job opportunities where two children were born. Job opportunities took the family to LaHabra, California. She later lived in Guymon, Oklahoma and finally back to her birthplace, Moline, Kansas. She went back to school in 1986 and received education in Adult Care Home Aide and started working at the Elk Manor Nursing Home in Moline. In July 1990 she received her Medication Aide certification.
Doris married Bud Taylor at her parents' home in September 1990. She retired from the nursing home after 25 years of service in October 2001. Her hobbies were bowling, playing cards, and reading. She had a love of cross stitching and made many pictures for her family and friends as gifts. She also enjoyed going to the casino and Senior dances with her best friend, Martha Cooley. Martha and Doris took trips to Branson, Missouri to enjoy the shows. Doris also enjoyed her church family at the Moline First Baptist Church.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Robin (Niblack) Brisbois and husband, Mark of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Shona (Trek) Lewis of Midland, Texas, Gary (Erin) Adams of Littleton Colorado, April McLean of Howard, Kasnas, and Aaron Niblack of Hutchinson, Kansas; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Duane (Linda) Adkins of Wylie Texas; two cousins, Gary (Sandy) Foust of Winfield, Kansas and Andi (John) Hebb of Moline, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Fern Adkins; her son, Randy Duane Niblack; her grandson-in-law, Scott McLean; her great-grandson, Turner Samuel McLean; her best friend, Martha Cooley; and her husband, William "Bud" Taylor.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Moline Baptist church with burial to follow at the Moline City Cemetery. Last post by patyrn - July 26, 2026, 01:56:44 PMRicky LeRoy Wilson, age 68, of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away tragically on July 16, 2026. He was born on April 9, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas. Known to many as Rick, he will be remembered for his humble spirit, strong integrity, and unwavering work ethic.
Rick attended North Elk High School in Howard, Kansas, and later completed technical training with Boeing. He dedicated 36 years of his career to Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems where he served as a team lead in the stretch press shop. After retiring in 2020, he embraced life at Grand Lake in Oklahoma where he found great joy in the simple pleasures he loved most.
A true jack-of-all-trades, Rick enjoyed spending time outdoors--fishing, riding his motorcycle, and watching tractor pulls. He particularly enjoyed fishing with Rahl and the Walnut Valley Bass Club. He had a special talent for crafting fishing lures and was known by many as the neighborhood "Mr. Fix It". Above all, Rick cherished time with his family. He loved entertaining and creating lasting memories, especially with his grandchildren who brought him endless pride and happiness. Rick will be deeply missed for his kind heart, genuine nature, and the meaningful connections he built with everyone he met.
Left to remember Ricky are his wife, Tammi Wilson; their children, Robbie (Jennifer) Sharp of Richards, Texas, Kailee (Cory) Niday of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Kendra (Brandon) Bartel of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Colton Wilson of Grove, Oklahoma; his father, Lester LeRoy Wilson; and his sister, Cheryle (Danny) Edwards of Yates Center, Kansas.
