Meet Mr. and Mrs. Crystal Meth

Written by Alicia VanDavis

I destroy homes - I tear families apart.
I take your children and that's just a start.
I'm more valued than diamonds, more precious than gold.
The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.

If you need me, remember, I'm easily found.
I live all around you, in school and in town.
I live with the rich, I live with the poor.
I live just down the street and maybe next door.

I'm made in a lab, but not one like you think.
I can be made under the kitchen sink,
In your child's closet, and even out in the woods.
If this scares you to death, then it certainly should.

I have many names. But there's one you'll know best.
I'm sure you've heard of me, my name is Crystal Meth.

My power is awesome, try me, you'll see.
But if you do, you may never break free.
Just try me once and I might let you go.
But if you try me twice, then I'll own your soul.

When I possess you, you'll steal and you'll lie.
You'll do what you have to, just to get high.
The crimes you commit for my narcotic charms,
Will be worth the pleasures you feel in my arms.

You'll lie to your mother; you'll steal from your dad,
When you see their tears, you must feel sad.
Just forget your morals, and how you were raised.
I'll be your conscience, I'll teach you my ways.

I take kids from their parents; I take parents from their kids.
I turn people from God, I separate friends.
I'll take everything from you, your looks and your pride.
I'll be with you always, right by your side.

You'll give up everything, your family, your home,
Your money, your true friend, then you'll be alone.
I'll take and take till you have no more to give.
When I finish with you, you'll be lucky to live.

If you try me, be warned, this is not a game.
If I'm given the chance, I'll drive you insane.
I'll ravage your body; I'll control your mind.
I'll own you completely; your soul will be mine.

The nightmares I'll give you when you're lying in bed,
And the voices you'll hear from inside your head.
The sweats, the shakes, and the visions you'll see.
I want you to know these are gifts from me.

But then it's too late, and you'll know in your heart
That you are now mine and we shall not part.
You'll regret that you tried me (they always do).
But you came to me, not I to you.

You knew this would happen. Many times you've been told.
But you challenged my power, You chose to be bold.
You could have said no and then walked away.
If you could live that day over, what would you say?

My power is awesome, as I told you before.
I can take your life and make it so dim and sore.
I'll be your master and you'll be my slave.
I'll even go with you when you go to your grave.

Now that you've met me, what will you do?
Will you try me or not? It's all up to you.
I can show you more misery than words can tell.
Come take my hand, let me lead you to Hell.

Sadly, German citizens, as the polls indicate, appear far wiser than many of our own low information sheeple.

Politics / De-militarize & de-weaponize local police forces
« on: November 06, 2013, 11:07:09 AM »
Having worked in security & law enforcement, I have to agree with much of what Whitehead has to say in this article.  If unchecked, working in law enforcement can create one helluva power trip for officers & deputies... giving them unrestricted access to militarized assets often only makes it worse.

Welcome to the United Police States of America
Nov. 5, 2013 9:00am
John W. Whitehead - The Rutherford Institute

...Unfortunately, this police preoccupation with ensuring their own safety at all costs—a mindset that many older law enforcement officials find abhorrent in light of the more selfless code on which they were trained—is spreading like a plague among the ranks of police officers across the country, with tragic consequences for the innocent civilians unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Yet the fatality rate of on-duty patrol officers is reportedly far lower than many other professions, including construction, logging, fishing, truck driving, and even trash collection. In fact, police officers have the same rate of dying on the job as do taxi drivers...

...If ever there were a time to de-militarize and de-weaponize local police forces, it’s now. The same goes for scaling back on the mindset adopted by cops that they are the law and should be revered, feared and obeyed. As for the idea that citizens must be compliant or risk being treated like lawbreakers, that’s nothing more than authoritarianism with a badge.

In other words, it’s time for a reality check, for both the police and the citizens of this nation, and a good place to start is with the words of that gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson, who warned: “Coming of age in a fascist police state will not be a barrel of fun for anybody, much less for people like me, who are not inclined to suffer Nazis gladly and feel only contempt for the cowardly flag-suckers who would gladly give up their outdated freedom to live for the mess of pottage they have been conned into believing will be freedom from fear.”...

The Coffee Shop / Some help finding your required health insurance
« on: November 01, 2013, 10:20:08 AM »
In the FYI department...

If you are under 65 & needing to find new health insurance to avoid the tax penalty for 2014, here is the link for direct purchase from BC/BS:  http://bcbsks.com/HealthPlans/Under65/index.htm

Please note that (as of yesterday) the federal website, healthcare.gov, does NOT list all these plans and understates the actual premiums!  Of course, if you buy direct, you will not be eligible for premium subsidies.

Also, when figuring any potential subsidies, remember that ALL household income (including pensions & Social Security) are included to determine eligibility.... even if there is only one person (i.e. an under 65 spouse) needing insurance.

Speaking of the penalty for not having insurance by March 15, 2014... the minimum penalty is $95 OR 1% of income... whichever is GREATER.

Good luck!

From a commenter on an NBC news article outlining some of the problems with ObummerKare...

America, wake up!

This is what more government gives you. Incompetence, confusion and chaos are the hallmarks of all government programs, yet many of the unwashed masses want more.

This is the result of Liberalism/Progressivism.

A century of one crisis after another has allowed Progressivism to force its dysfunctional ideology into American’s minds. People are most vulnerable when there is a crisis or chaos. Amplifying that chaos allows the government to control the weak and illiterate, most often Liberals/Progressives.

This massive control of people can only be possible if they are conditioned to be subservient. This is most easily attained by keeping the masses uninformed and illiterate. The simplest way to keep them illiterate is to control the education system. Once this is achieved the government can manipulate the Liberals/Progressives by simple politics, promises and lies.

Today we see this working perfectly. Combine the significant control government has with a complicit media, that is not concerned with the truth or journalistic integrity but rather assisting the control, and the collapse of our great Republic is inevitable.

Today America has become a 50/50 nation. Half of Americans work for a living and the other half vote for a living. The makers, Conservatives, have to work harder to support the takers, Liberals/Progressives as they have become incapable of caring for themselves.

This is the shame of the Left and its growing submission to statists and elitists in government. The real embarrassment is that the same people Liberals have been indoctrinated into worshipping, politicians, are the same people using them for their own benefit. Of course the criminals in government always promise the world and deliver noting but confusion and chaos, and the cycle continues.

Obooboocare should be a massive embarrassment and humiliation, but Liberals/Progressives are incapable of those emotions any longer. They have been programmed by their dysfunctional parents, peers and teachers to just bow and accept their insignificance and continue to serve the politicians instead of the politicians serving them. They accept the repeated lies in order to get more and more alleged safety. This is the insecurity of the Left. As long as they continue to rape our nation’s wealth and prosperity they are happy.

Kathleen Sleezbelius should be fired but this will never happen. Firing her would be an indication of failure and Barrack Hussein never accepts any responsibility. Unless of course it benefits his “legacy”. He is the master manipulator of the weak-minded Liberals/Progressives as he picks and chooses his challenges. Liberals are mushrooms, they are kept in the dark and fed bullsh!t. The worst part is, they enjoy it.

The recent revelations of the NSA spying on Germany and Spain should not be surprising. What is surprising is the claim by Barrack Hussein that he didn’t know about it. He is either the most incompetent president since Carter of he is a liar. Most real Americans understand he is both, and this is very dangerous.

We are on the cusp of our great Republic being completely transformed into Barrack Husseins utopia of European socialism. His vision, as a statist, is to create the Bourgeoisie for himself and his elitist cronies and have the Proletariat, the rest of America, serve them. This may be acceptable to the Liberals/Progressives, but it isn’t to us real Americans.

We will fight the scourge known as Liberalism/Progressivism, with or without the help of the Left. We know they are incapable of independence, ambition and pride.

Fortunately real Americans are.

God Bless and save America!

Difference Between Conservatives and Progressives (Democrats, RINOs & many 'Moderates')

A Conservative and a Progressive were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person. The Conservative gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his business for a job. He then took twenty dollars out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.

The Progressive was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, he decided to help. He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. He then reached into the Conservative's pocket and gave the homeless person fifty dollars.

Now you understand the difference between Conservatives and Progressives.

Two stories that offer more evidence of the continuing intrusive expansion of government into the lives of American citizens.....

Elderly patients sick over losing doctors under ObamaCare
By Carl Campanile
October 25, 2013

ObamaCare is making seniors sick.

Elderly New Yorkers are in a panic after getting notices that insurance companies are booting their doctors from the Medicare Advantage program as a result of the shifting medical landscape under ObamaCare...

...  Dr. Jonathan Leibowitz, who serves 30 patients under Medicare Advantage at his Brooklyn practice, said he was blindsided by UnitedHealthcare’s decision to give him the boot.

“A patient can’t see his doctor? What are they doing!” he asked.

UnitedHealthcare told Leibowitz that because of “significant changes and pressures in the health-care environment,” he’d be getting the ax on Jan. 1.

Leibowitz’s patients are furious. Alfred Gargiulio, who has cerebral palsy with a seizure disorder, has been seeing Leibowitz since 1993. “Obama had said I could keep my doctor. Now they’re doing away with my doctor. They kicked him out! After 20 years, that’s not right. We love Dr. Leibowitz,” said Gargiulio.

Exclusive: Feds confiscate investigative reporter’s confidential files during raid
The Daily Caller
10/25/2013

A veteran Washington D.C. investigative journalist says the Department of Homeland Security confiscated a stack of her confidential files during a raid of her home in August — leading her to fear that a number of her sources inside the federal government have now been exposed.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, journalist Audrey Hudson revealed that the Department of Homeland Security and Maryland State Police were involved in a predawn raid of her Shady Side, Md. home on Aug. 6. Hudson is a former Washington Times reporter and current freelance reporter.

A search warrant obtained by TheDC indicates that the August raid allowed law enforcement to search for firearms inside her home.

Socialist lite, Senator Mitch McConnell, inserted the following provision into the Senate bill regarding the debt limit that will make it easier for the President to raise the debt limit on the nation's credit card.  Just more crap from the elites.  With Congress eroding their own constitutional powers at this rate, instead of electing a president, we'll just be attending the coronation of a king in 2016.

Senate Debt Deal Includes Provision Lessening Congress' Power On Debt Ceiling
by Kerry Picket 16 Oct 2013, 4:13 PM PDT

Capitol Hill talk regarding the Senate deal apparently includes a provision that would take away the Congress’ power to increase the debt ceiling. According to Politico, it looks like the buzz appears to be true.:

The plan includes a proposal offered by McConnell in the 2011 debt ceiling crisis that allows Congress to disapprove of the debt ceiling increase, which means lawmakers will formally vote on whether to reject a debt ceiling increase until Feb. 7. Obama can veto that legislation if it passes. If Congress fails as expected to gather a two-thirds majority to override the veto, the debt ceiling would be raised.

National Journal reported last week:

Whether it's four weeks from now or in one year, there'd be even less reason to put faith in a last-minute deal next time the U.S. is up against the debt limit...

...This approach isn't all that radical. Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., proposed a reform in January that would change the debt-ceiling mechanism so that Congress would vote to disapprove of an increase, as opposed to approving one. Such a change would limit debt-ceiling negotiations to a veto-proof majority, while still leaving Congress with some power.
(Emphasis added)

Not radical?  You've got to be kidding!  This is technically the same method by which these idiots get automatic pay increases every year.  And all the sheeple said, "Huh????"  Hmmmmph!
