Mom, you are very smart on your computer. I am always amazed at how fast you learn and I admire the fact that you don't ever give up. You just keep trying until you /we get it figured out.
It makes my job when I help you a piece of cake.  :-*

Cake? did I hear Cake?
( maybe Teresa will read this and there will be a cake  at home with my name on it..
or a pie. *hint hint*)

The Coffee Shop / Re: Hello & Good Morning!
June 12, 2007, 09:02:02 AM
Good day forum members, :)

I have lots of work to do, and I am taking Teresa to the chiropractor this afternoon, so we can get her neck and shoulder to feeling better.
( I want her to feel like baking me that pie tomorrow  ;) )
Hope everyone is enjoying their time together on here. I must say that it is becoming a popular coffee shop for everyone to gather together.

It is hot and the humidity is s high. That is something that Norway doesn't have together.
We have high humidity because of the ocean being right there, but the hot that goes with it we don't have.

Well, the phones are going to start ringing and duty will soon call, so I will wish you all a wonderful Tuesday.
Have fun.

Kjell

Well, I didn't get my pie...................yet!
But I imagine she will get to it tomorrow.
She WAS pretty busy today, so I'll let her off the hook for now.  ;)

No Flo, you or anyone else didn't offend me at all. Thanks for taking the time to ask though----appreciate the thoughtfulness

Teresa keeps nagging---.errr I mean asking me if I would post about things in Norway, but
---well for one, I haven't had any spare time to do much long writing, and 2, where do I start?  ;D

If certain subjects come up I will try to give the Norwegian way of doing things, if it is different than here in America.
But I have no idea when..
But---
I WILL try! :-*

Politics / Re: Urine Test
May 31, 2007, 04:45:47 PM
How about we pass a law that all Federal, State and Local legislators, all Governors and Mayors, and their subordinates, and the US President, VP, the President's cabinet and advisers, all the members of the President's administration, etc. must take and be required to pass mandatory random urine testing as well as passing a mandatory urine test prior to moving into any of the afore mentioned "Public Service" positions?

That law could only be passed by public referendum, because few in the above categories would pass or support that law.

That law might also "clean house" because many "Public Servants" would not want to be treated the same way as the public that they serve is treated.

The Coffee Shop / Re: What happen to Lois?
May 29, 2007, 11:36:42 AM

We all appreciate what Lois has done for the forum and cannot thank her enough.

I am not informed about the reasons she decided to leave the forum. What I do know is that all voluntary work is based on resources called time and dedication. Also, there is always a time when an individual decides to move on to other fields of interests. No matter the reason, I respect and understand her decision. I have been there and done that many times in my life being dedicated to voluntary work.

All we have to do is to say thanks for her work and dedication and keep this forum active for the benefit of the community and those who has an interest in Howard and Elk County.
