The Coffee Shop / Howard is Home
January 12, 2014, 09:56:24 AM
Hey everybody!! Since Will has been out of work we've had problems pop up from time to time. But every time, there was someone in our community that was more than willing to help. I won't go into specifics, but I want those people to know how much they are appreciated. We have only lived here two years, but Howard truly feels like home and if we have to move we will miss it very much!! ((((BIG HUGS)))) to you all!! ;D

I understand Wilma, 4 people have ruined the Forum. It is nothing like it used to be. The only reason I even it read it is because I was able to block 4 people .

I've been in that school, and I've seen how it's set up. Hubby used to teach there. It's something to think about. I know we don't live in a huge city, but crazy is everywhere!! For example, school shootings don't just happen in big towns. Heaven forbid ANYTHING like that happens here!!

We need more with first hand knowledge of the conditions to "just say".

And can I please add that the school needs to be made secure! You can easily "sneak" past the office and the modules outside are really not secure at all! And if the district wants to keep good teachers, they need to listen to their Principal who they hired to supervise and guide those teachers!! The school board does not work with teachers on a daily basis!!

The Coffee Shop / Just Setting the Record Straight.....
November 07, 2013, 09:07:26 PM
Okay, I've had several people ask me lately why Will is not teaching at West Elk this year. Soooo I've decided to set the record straight. Juli and Burt wanted to re-hire Will for this school year, but the school board decided not to offer him a new contract. Will was never written up or disciplined for doing anything wrong, and all his evaluations were good. He was not given a reason why he wasn't re-hired. There, that's it plain and simple. And life goes on.......  :)
