Did You Know-------It has now been over 100 days since there was an assault on one of our local citizens? Witnessed by two individuals, in daylight hours. Two men pulled another man off a running tractor when he was doing volunteer mowing for the city of Elk Falls, and beat him. Reports were filed witness statements taken and NOTHING has been done.......way to go Elk county, I'm so damn proud to live here.

I heard a little ruckus last night about that time...at first I thought "honest Ron" had fired the opening salvo of the next Elk Falls-Longton skirmish, although there was no evidence of "incoming". I also took comfort knowing that at that time of the evening, Judy wouldn't be wandering.  Maybe since it hasn't rained we needed something different to deal with!

Janet and Wilma- I do know for a fact the incident happened, police reports have been filed.....and now almost 90 days have passed and not a damn thing has been done to the two a**holes that assaulted the other man.  I used to stick up for Elk Co. law enforcement................................

I can not sit by anymore, I agree with Varmit-   In August in Elk Falls a local man doing volunteer work, brush hog, was pulled off the tractor while it was running and beaten. Middle of the day, with witnesses, and to this date there have been no arrests, not even a citation.  Two men pull a man volunteering for the community off a moving tractor, with a brush hog running, beat him and nothing happens.  Maybe I don't understand, maybe all our local volunteers need a good beating from time to time.

As a member of Rural Fire I have to admit that the current Sheriff has done some good.......but with a 32,000 dollar salary you don't get Brodrick Crawford.   Most of the rural cops deal with rural issues (hence the blue jeans).  He could have also been on a call that he got dirty on, prior to you seeing him.  In the recent past, I think the guys in the Dept. have looked ok.
