What a great story, Wilma! I'm sure the hens were happy to be at your home and safe from the newly 'possom populated stream :D

That's a skunk of a different stripe! Ha! I hope he doesn't come in our neighborhood; but sounds like he's more north and west.
I used to feed feral cats, but when I figured out the opossums were coming up on the porch, I stopped.
My cat abandoned me and went to live with the neighbors a couple years ago - they had better food  ;D

Buy, Sell or Trade / Dog fence sections
December 07, 2015, 04:27:33 PM
I want to expand the dog pen we use when our family comes to visit (most bring all their pets, and we are a pet-lovin' family!)
The fence we use now is made from the 6 foot tall panels with chain link that are pretty standard. If you have a few sections or a fence you'd like to sell, please let me know. Thanks! 374-2567

The Coffee Shop / Found dog in Howard
August 08, 2013, 07:56:57 AM
There was a GIANT yellow dog at my house this morning. He looks like a lab/pit cross. He is a neutered male and extremely friendly. He played with my two little tiny dogs and they had a good morning, but I had to call the city to pick him up. He kept jumping in the work-crew's van and running through the new shop getting in the way. He loaded up in every vehicle that he could get in the door of, so I know he wanted to go home.
I figure he came in with a truck getting water and slipped his chain (it looked like he was used to wearing a collar, but none was on him). He let me put a chain around his neck, but then drug me across the yard like I was on skis, so I took it off.
At any rate, he is definitely not a dog they will keep since he's part pit - so please, if you know where this big sweet fellow belongs, have them go get him SOON!
(He is not Donnie's dog and he is not Connie's dog either)

Judy, I've been told that Sam Trigg has vegetables (cabbage, tomatoes, peppers) this year and plans to do more again next year.
The Assembly is having their annual bedding plant sale on Thurs, Fri & Sat for 3 weeks starting now.
I have some bedding plants at the flowershop too.

Thanks to you all for the birthday wishes. I had a really nice day and even the drizzle didn't bother me - it's rained wherever I am at every birthday that I can remember. I've learned to ignore it. HA!

The Coffee Shop / Re: Painless shots

Ha! Ms Bear! I am allergic to needles. They make me hyperventilate and get crazy dizzy. I've even been known to pass out  :o
I don't get out of shots though, they just make sure I"m sitting down so they don't have to pick me up off the floor.  ;D
