Jesse Zollars built the Longton Jail bleive and was also the first to get to stay all night I was Told. That curve is about where John dropped off the Elk Co Sheriff back in the '30's I yhink.

When I was about 7 a family member was buried at Upola.  Well I got it in my head Larua Ingells Wilder liver there and could see no reason my father couldn't take me to her house and just drop in.  We didn't go ofcourse but I've thought of it often over the yrs

I relate to your losing a son and now your mom and even the dialysis.  Prayer always help but the thing that's carried me thru is giving it to God. That in turn lets you give to your Mom.   Love and prayers

When you go east on the road north of Howard to the Busby Rd(old Store) turn North at 2 mi(I think and go @miles north on the left you'll see a fence of rock if you look there is also a garden rocked in and a @sorty house.   This is where Goe. Washington Reynolds lived before,he died in 1888..

What I noticed was the bridge builder. Charles Valentine Zollars built several county bridges. He had a crew who worked with him several were Zollars men, also Rabbit Nay. I know they built Bull Run.   I've often heard of Zollars Hill but don't know where I think east of Longton
