It has been brought up to my attention that my name was brought up on here by who ever JANE May be about the Dollar General talk if You or Anyone else want to know anything about this MATTER then you need to go to the source or whom you think might be involved  instead of accusing that I am pushing for Dollar General to come here and if you must know I SUPPORT OUR LOCAL FAMILY MARKET AND APPRECIATE JULIE PERKINS, BUY GAS AT P&J'S  when I NEED TO, IF YOU MUST KNOW WHERE I GO TO SHOP FOR MY BUSINESS IT CAN' T ALL BE BOUGHT LOCAL BUT WHY DO I NEED TO POST WHERE I GO BUY MY PRODUCTS AND IF YOU DON'T SUPPORT OUR BUSINESS YOUR LOSS NOT MINE. IF YOU MUST KNOW I DO HAVE A I HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE SIGN POSTED. I AND MY FAMILY LOVE LIVING IN HOWARD AND PLAN ON STAYING HERE FOR AWHILE. OOHHH!! I DO SHOP DOLLAR GENERAL........

WOW!!!  I PAY for my trash services $60 for restaurant and for home, I am not here to pay for your darn trash this time may have been leaves, but I did call trash company to come pick the 8 trash bags because we could not put our restaurant trash in it was just Monday, believe me if I find out who this was or hopefully you will leave an envelope with your address on it you will hear from me (I do go through trash bags if they are not ours) and I am putting a lock on MY TRASH CAN........just saying!The Elk County General Store is not for dumping of trashy looking furniture I hope they caught you smiling on camera dumping this off at her back door, I believe that this is CLEAN-UP WEEK and City will have a BIGGGGGG trash can across from the water plant, so start hauling your own **** to the trash can that is FREE this weekend...........

@ Warph, Thanks for the back up. Had about a 1/2 tray left of Donuts, ( not one person asked for the free donut, they just paid for them ) Made a Special delivery to Eureka of my apple fritters, they said they were out of this world, she said if I had 5 thumbs on my hand all 5 would be up. She also said she went thru El dorado last weekend and said well let's just say mine were better. Daylight Corporation Rep. came in to take a look at my display of Donuts said they looked good enough to eat. Thank you Don for your much needed info on how to make the PERFECT Apple Fritter. More Donuts on Friday.

Just wanting to let everyone know that Sweet & Spicy is still OPEN for business  , as evereyone knows that we have been having problems with A/C, Thanks to Chad he has it going full BLAST it was a cool 74 degrees a little while ago. Due to it being soo hot in kitchen I had not been making Donuts, STARTING Wednesday I will make donuts ask Traci for more info.about days for Donuts, Breakfast ,Lunch & Dinner. SORRY for the inconvience it may have caused you, What the heck just come in for a FREE DONUT on Wed. So to the ones that was passing the Rumor around that we were Closed PLEASE pass this around Sweet & Spicy  is still OPEN  Thanks, Connie

I have an abundance of Aloe Vera Plants at the restaurant that I need to give away. Bring your own tools to dig them out of my planter, only the little ones Please!!!

Well, Well, to prehistoricrez just for your info I am not making any money from selling GS Cookies that would be a very low blow, would that be like, hey we have windfarm people coming into Howard lets raise our prices but then what happens when they all leave yes thats right we have to try to figure out how to get our locals to come back and support us Well I am Proud to say my prices are the same today as they were when we opened our doors a year ago I am not in this to get Rich by no means and yes there maybe a time to raise my prices but I want this to be affordable for Families to come and enjoy what we have to offer. Anyways back to the GS issue I am a Proud Grandmother of 2 GS from Longton, Elk County. and as I recall last year I paid for 15 cases of cookies and sold everyone of them at same cost and this year I am buying 16 cases FYI just saying..... also I do believe that Longton is Elk County and Howard & Fredonia is involved with GS with Longton, my 2 girls busted their A**** selling here in Howard, Wichita, Washington State, Wyoming and many other places far and in between is there a law about going out of your bounderies to sell at least they were out doing the work many people from Howard were glad to see a GS out selling maybe mine just wanted to get started. I just called my daughter in Longton and she said if there would have been a problem then they would not of let me do it last year, but if you find out more info before I do that I am doing something wrong PLEASE come to me FACE to FACE and let me know. Shame Shame on you to say Don't buy GS Cookies at SWEET & SPICY it's all for the ELK, COUNTY TROOPS. Shame  shame to me I hope you don't send kids to Sweet & Spicy to sell things cause I won't buy from them. just saying..........................

@ Judy, Thank You @ Warph too funny on pic. Sorry that I only get on here every now and then just too busy but here goes. We are still going to do donuts on Mondays, Wed., & Fridays with a slight change on Mondays we will only offer reg. donuts & long johns plain or filled. Wed. & Fri. will have all other donuts, if you would like to place a big order of some sort please feel free to call a couple of days ahead so that Leona knows how much needs to be made. The AVALOS FAMILY would also like to give all of our customers a Big THANK YOU for the GREAT YEAR you gave us Jan.28th was 1yr. On Feb.11th we are going to have a little Celebration for our 1st. Anniversary  5pm. - ? free drinks, food & donuts, Jalapeno eating contest enter at your own RISK. So come give us a cheer for another great year.

It has come to my attention that someone is saying that we fry our Donuts in old grease, let ME just say that is NOT TRUE. We change out grease every 2 weeks with fresh grease ( donuts are fried in grease 6 times ) and have reciepts to PROVE it $40.00 x 4 = $ 160.00 on grease a month and yes if there are donuts left over the next day WE tell OUR customers that they are day old and 1/2 price but still good enough to eat. FYI: I do buy products from Daylight Donut Company but not under contract with them and we serve the BEST coffee FOLGERS. Leona is a DARN good BAKER. Donuts are made Mon, but may change because we are CLOSED on TUESDAYS, WED & Friday.are ready by 6 am., she also makes Homemade PIES let us know if you need couple dz. donuts or more ahead of time PLEASE leave on answer machine.Thank You for Your Support!!!  Connie
