It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mandy Nacole Lamphier.  She passed away on January 13, 2023 at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends.

Mandy has shown great courage and strength throughout her 2-year battle with Glioblastoma.  She fought harder than most.  Her strength came from many places, but her greatest source of strength came from her three children.  We all know that every day she won the small battles so she could have one more day to spend with them.

It is not surprising that Mandy had the courage to wake up every day and face the fight because she showed determination and strength throughout her life.  As an adult, she had many accomplishments.  She worked her way through the ranks at Textro Aviation, and she took great pride in her career as an Engineering Manager.  She earned her Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree while raising a family and working a full-time job.  Mandy lived her life to the fullest right up until the end.  If we learned anything from Mandy, we will live our lives a little better and hug our family and friends a little tighter.

Mandy was loved and cherished by many people including her children, Ethan, Elsie, and Eli; her mother, Connie Tharp; her father, Quentin Watts; her twin sister, Mindy Watts; her brother, Justin Watts; her grandmother, Virginia Tharp; her sister-in-law, Robin Watts; her nieces, Emmi and Jayden; and her nephews, Alex and Ryan.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.  You can leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mandy Lamphier to pay them a last tribute at www.wulfastmortuary.com.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Mandy Lamphier Memorial Fund and can be left with or mailed to Countryside Funeral Home.  The fund will be dedicated to Mandy's children's education.
