Title: NETTLES, Eda Carlene (Brust) - b. September 1, 1940 - d. April 11, 2022

Eda Carlene (Brust) Collier-Nettles, age 81, a resident of Moline, Kansas, passed away on April 11, 2022 in Sedan, Kansas.  She was born on September 1, 1940 to Emil and Maybelle Brust in Wichita, Kansas.

Eda earned her high schol diploma and later graduated with an Associate's Degree from Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas.  She worked for many years in quality control and for AT&T and Integrate checking computer chips. 

Eda married Donald Collier in Wichita, Kansas.  After his passing, she retired and moved to Moline.  On May 17, 2001, she married Ted Nettles in Newkirk, Oklahoma.  The couple owned a mowing business in Moline as well as an antique business out of their home.  Ted passed away in 2008.

Eda had no children of her own, but she was blessed with and survived by a stepdaughter. Caroline Eschenbrenner of Udall, Kansas.  In addition to Caroline, she is survived by her brother, Paul (Betty) Brust and their son, Luc of Wichita, Kansas; her nephews, Jim (Jo Ellen) Clements of Colorado and Randy (Shaynah) Clements of Easton, Kansas; and her niece, Sharon.  Eda is preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Maybelle; her husbands, Donald Collier and Ted Nettles; her brother, Dean Brust; and her sister, Mary (James "Buddy") Sparks.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.  A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Moline City Cemetery in Moline, Kansas.  Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas has been entrusted with arrangements.
