Title: JULIAN, Joyce Ann (Snyder) - b. September 30, 1937 - d. September 11, 2021

Joyce Ann Julian, a resident of Sedan, Kansas, passed away on September 11, 2021.  She was born September 30, 1937 to Clarence Earl and Goldie Mae (Rhodes) Snyder and grew up in Moline, Kansas.

On December 18, 1955, Joyce married her high school sweetheart, Dale Julian, and together they raised four children.  Joyce's life revolved around her kids at home and at Sedan High School where she worked as the Director of Nutrition for more than 20 years.  She was also very involved with her community, a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society, a 4-H Club leader for years, and a Sunday School teacher at the Sedan Christian Church.  After her retirement, she and Dale enjoyed taking trips together and watching their grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing in ball games.  Joyce loved her family fiercely.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Dale Julian; their children, Shirlee "Kim" (Scott) Stephens, Sheri (Craig) Lampson, and Susan Ranee (Darren) Smylie, all of Sedan, Kansas and Brent (Stephanie) Julian of Independence, Kansas; her grandchildren, Heath (Amy) Lampson, Jeff Stephenson, Jill (Jason) Johnson, Easton (Jordan) Julian, Hannan (Caj)Kueffer, Caringtyn Julian, Dawson (Holly) Smylie, Addison Julian, Gavin Hooper, Kolbyn Hooper, and Camdon Julian; and 14 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ricky Snyder; and a daughter-in-law, Yona Julian.

A visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at Countryside Funeral Home on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery south of Moline, Kansas.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Sedan City Hospital and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
