My Beautiful America
Lose yourself in this for a moment................
One Nation Under God Indivisible with Liberty and Justice for ALL
Well, that was truly wonderful, Teresa.
We truly are blessed to live in such a great nation.
that was beautiful. Years ago when Pam was a teenager, she done a piece that was on a record by John Wayne called "America, why I love her". Follows the same themes and gives the same goose bumps. Thanks for sharing.
I thought I'd put this in.
I believe in the United States of America as a Government of the People, by the People, for the people whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union, one and inseparable, established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it my duty to my country to love it, to to support its constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag and defend it against all enemies.
Diane, that's quite a concoction you've posted there.
The USA was formed by the states, not the people.
Looks like something that Lincoln would say.
Inseparable? How so?
Your mix does not blend.
Red, Red, Red, my goodness just what are we going to do with you? ;D. That was written by William Tyler Page in 1917. I'll leave it to you to find out who he was and what this little piece is from. It is hardly a "concoction".
Ok, I did a quick search. Nothing has changed. It's Daniel Webster who
is the author of "one and inseparable". Webster and Lincoln were Federalists.
You can view the source of the phrases in this so-called American's Creed:

Hitler hated the concept of State's Rights. Hitler must have had an admiration of
Lincoln.
Sorry Teresa, wrong place for my comment.
