Title: Bill Parker and his Western Swing Band

Bill Parker was the son of John and Ruby Parker, and during the 1950's he had his own band.  Bill lived around Tulsa, Oklahoma.  I can remember on a couple of occasions when Bill would come to visit his grandmother, Cora Parker, that he would play his guitar for her. And on occasion Bill would have a dance at the Howard Fair Building. This ad appears in the Howard Courant Citizen on November 15, 1956.  Please click on the advertisement below to enlarge the ad.

If my thinker serves me right.. I can remember my mother and daddy dancing to Bill Parker. ...as he played up into the 60's too.
