"The Constitution provides, through Article V, a means by which the Constitution can be altered. My question to my fellow Americans whether they are liberal or conservative: Has the Constitution been amended to permit Congress to manage the economy? I'd also ask that question to members of the U.S. Supreme Court. I personally know of no such amendment. What we're witnessing today is nothing less than a massive escalation in White House and congressional thuggery"..... Walter Willams
GREAT post, Red.... Williams definitely has his finger on the pulse of the White House!
Keep it coming!!!!!!
Thanks, Warph. We'll do what we can, even though it's impossible for me to do it as well as you do it.
With his permission, here's what an Oklahoma friend has to say about Walter Williams:
Walter Williams is a brilliant man and speaks for all of us who believe the Founding Fathers meant what they wrote in the United States Constitution of 1787---the one that has been trashed in the last 150 years and which is no longer considered by the "rulers" in Washington. Walter Williams is an economist and former professor of economics at George Mason University. When I was with Oklahoma City University, he spoke on our lecture series, "MidWinter Institute" and I was privileged to meet and visit with him. Incidentally, Walter Williams is a black man and a cousin of Julius "Dr. J" Irving, former NBA great.
The tragedy of our times is that Americans are willing to trade their liberty for security, and that spells the doom of what was left of our once great Republic. To Patrick Henry's question, modern Americans say, "Yes, peace is so sweet and life so dear as to be purchased at the price of chains of slavery!" Welcome to Sambobama's plantation.
