My mother's first job after graduating from highschool in Chanute, KS was to move to Moline and work for the Santa Fe. Then she met my Dad and here I am. She did Morse Code and my Dad, was a Ham Radio operator so he also did Morse Code. I remember her sitting at the kitchen table teaching some of it to me as a little child. However, after all these years, the only thing I remember is SOS ... - - - ....
Not CQD? ;D ;D ;D
It's like riding a bicycle ... one never forgets the code.
There are some neat websites for practicing International Morse Code and I often enjoy impressing family members with my ability to "copy" it.
Their level of excitement is usually right up there with mine when I'm sitting in the car waiting on my wife to shop in Hobby Lobby.
Ya know?
