Post by: Wilma on April 23, 2009, 06:33:03 PM
Welcome to our forum, sleepless.  What are you sleepless over?  A new baby, lost a job, the political situation.  You may not find a solution here, but you certainly will find help in coping.  Glad you're here.

If it's all the quiet you're finding in Elk County...Don't worry...You eventually get used to hearing nothing...No sirens...No hyped-up super sub-woofers that make your windows shake as they pass by...No constant hum of cars, intent on going who-knows-where.   In fact, you might begin to notice the sounds of nature...kids laughing...even neighbors' conversations that you gain WAY too much information from! lol :o

Even if you're not from Seattle, you are very welcome here!

There's activity on the forum nearly 24 hours a day.  ;D

No sirens?  Don't they sound the siren at noon anymore?     Larryj

We don't have a noon siren.  The only time our siren sounds is for a fire, a tornado or a fire meeting.

We do, however, have our courthouse clock - which chimes every hour from 8 am to 9 pm.
