I just had a telephone call about lowering my credit card rate to 6.9 percent and it ended with saying "Please press 9 now". I hung up. It seems to me that I have heard something about pressing 9, but I don't remember what. Does anyone know what I am trying to remember?
Was it the scam about telemarket calls that you get charged an outrageous amount for if you press 9?
I am thinking that it is, but I can't remember for sure. Anyway, I hung up without doing anything. I'm nobody's sucka.

The above has to do with lowering your credit card rate to 6.9% and pressing "9".
Another web site says that pressing 9 will allow the person on the other end to use your phone for long distance with the charges accruing to you.
