You might be able to find out by contacting Elwood's sister, Agnes Miller.  I assume she is still living in Howard.

Thanks for that bit of information about Agnes--I didn't know that!

When we stopped at the Nursing Home in Howard, this past Saturday we were told that Agnes was supposed to be brought to the Nursing Home there this week. I would contact Frederick Miller in Winfield as Fred would know if the Millers or Gotobeds had a Bakery there.

Hazel Moore (1st grade), Margaret Gragg (2nd grade) and Agnes Miller (3rd grade) were all teachers at Howard Grade School (and also later at Moline and Severy) and are all presently residents at Twilight Manor.  This would be a good time for many of their former students (or just friends) to send them a  card for the holidays.  The Twilight Manor address is:  849 E. Washington, Howard, KS  67349.  I'm sure each one of these special ladies would love to receive a cheerful greeting! They have had a huge influence on shaping many young minds who went out into the world from Elk County.
