Black and Gold by Nancy Byrd Turner

Everything is black and gold,
Black and gold, to-night:
Yellow pumpkins, yellow moon
Yellow candlelight;

Jet-black cats with golden eyes
Shadows black as ink,
Firelight blinking in the dark
With a yellow blink

Black and gold, black and gold
Nothing in between-
When the world turns black and gold
Then it's Halloween!

Boo!...to you too. Some of our kids have Phillies shirts on along with their costumes, so I've seen a Phillies vampire, a Phillies puppy and a Phillies pirate.

We've had almost 100 trick-or-treaters here in Edmond, Oklahoma.  The night is a beautiful one and the kids have been so polite with lots of "thanks-you".  That makes it fun.  I didn't know how many to expect because so many churches have their own activities for Halloween to keep kids safe and off the streets, and our downtown sponsored a trick-or-treat involving all the businesses early in the evening.  Probably having Halloween on a non-school night allows more kids to roam around longer, too.

Happy Halloween everyone!

It would appear there's more than one person not getting any, from the disgruntled tones of some of these posts! lol

I had so much fun treating the kiddies.  I sat on the porch in my home made witches costume (except for the boughten hat with attached long gray hair).  The neighbors to the north checked me out cause he thought I had a "dummie" on the porch but he was looking out the kitchen window and saw the "dummie" move  ;D ;D ;D.  I had 71 trick or treaters far as I know.  Sometimes when they get to coming too fast I forget to write them down.  I had treats for 100 and only had 6 or 7 left, but some took more than one and that was alright.  Anyhow, Halloween is over for another year and now time to concentrate on the upcoming holidays.  Everyone enjoy the warm sunshine, because it won't last a whole lot longer.  Don't forget to set your clocks back tonite, or you'll be early to church.

He just needs to come visit here and let Hazel Moore straighten him out.  :D  :D  :D
Apparently she had a good time last night. Jim took some neighbor kids that way and said she was busy.
