Title: OBAMA/McCAIN
Post by: flo on August 01, 2008, 12:30:28 PM
I was just catching up on the forum after a couple days and find something very odd in this "politics" thread.  There is line after line after line of "Obama bashing".  This is true politics as I see it.  If you can't find nothing good to say about yourself, then trash the other guy. Instead of repeating over and over everything Obama ISN'T, why not tell us a bit about what McCain IS.

McCain is....

Old enough to have experience...albeit, I find him a little too experienced in dishonest pursuits (i.e. his wife).
Connected enough to be able to get things done in DC...although, he'll probably end up connected to life support before the end of his term.
Smart enough to surround himself with smart people...although, I'm afraid that he'll be outsmarted by his Congress, just like every person unlucky enough to be elected President before him.
Humerous enough to be able to address large populations of people...although I despise his humor, because it always end up in that dry, "heh heh heh...heh heh heh" laughter of his...gods...four years of that laughter will end up with me on Valium.
Too much of a dog for this cat to be able to stomach.

Where is Colin Powell?  How about Schwartzkopff????  I'd vote for a ticket that had those two running together...but each one is too smart to ever put himself in that unenviable position.

WHY ISN'T CONDOLEEZA RICE RUNNING????   There's the best of all minority-concious, tree-hugging worlds...she's black, she's female, she's connected...and, unfortunately, probably the only honest person left in DC with a concience, other than our First Lady.  That's probably why she'll leave DC at the end of her tenure there and NEVER  look back.

Now CATWOMAN, why the bashing of McCain over his marriage failure, you don't know the circumstances that he was going thru. I have learned to never blame people for a failed marriage as one never knows the real story. Is his failed marriage worse than  JFK's etramarital activities, or Bill Clinton Oval office activities, or Ted Kennedy's activities. The list could go on and on.

I wish everyone would worry about the running of this country as much as they do about what women the men have been with and visa versa.

What happened in the past, happened in the PAST - we democrats don't keep bringing up the sins of republicans who served in the past.  Serves no purpose on the problems of today.  Look to the future and GET OVER IT.
