"The name in Byzantine music theory for the melody type used in the composition of music. It is akin to a Western medieval mode or an Arabian maqam."
But I'm sure you've got a funnier one?
Do you mean the school kind or the sound bouncing back to you kind?
Deeep! Very Deeep! 8) 8)

I did 3 loads today, that's why I thought of it! ;D yuk,yuk.
some good answers - actually an echo is very simply stated:
When something is said and it echo's back - ie somebody posts something and somebody thinks they need to repeat it. Maybe they think we can't read it the first time. And to quote Forrest Gump - "that's all I got to say about that"
Too bad, ours was much more fun! ;)
Flo; can you expand? Do you mean putting the quotes in a reply so as to reference something someone else said? Or do you mean that people are accidentally putting the same post on that someone else did previously (joke, "warning", something from e-mail)?
Definition of echo:
A naughty girl in the Eck family.
Eck ho
Tee Hee! ;) ::)
;D ;D ;D I like Rudy's definition. . . No, I don't mean "quotes", I mean someone posts a message of their own and someone else posts a message of their own, only they say like "oh yeah, me to" and then types the exact same message, maybe turning the words around a little. Quotes are good when there are several messages between yours and the one you are answering to, let's everyone know to what you are referring, however I don't think a quote is necessary if it is just above your reply. Get the picture? Guess I shouldn't say anything maybe. Not that big a problem, I guess. ::) ::) ::) still like Rudy's definition. 8)
Ha! Wouldn't be so funny if your name was Eck though! ;D
