Most of you probably know by now that Anita Winn Hatfield passed away yesterday (Sunday) morning. We will post her obit as soon as the girls finish it. She has been quite ill for the past several weeks. She was Frank, Bob & Dwight's oldest sister. The service is planned for Wednesday at Howard. Not time is given yet.

Frank - My condolences on the loss of your sister. May God's strength help you through your loss.
Thanks Dale, Anita was my oldest Sister and I am the youngest of 15 children. Anita would have been 92 the 30th of December and she has lived a good life and I didn't want her to suffer anymore. I drove to Howard on Saturday and picked up one of my brothers and we drove to Wichita and spent the day with Anita, she knew us and gave us both many hugs and kisses, my niece said that shortly after we left Anita closed her eyes and never responded again, she passed away the next morning. She had 2 sons and 3 daughters, her oldest son was my age and died of Cancer at a young age and her other son was killed in Vietnam, so after my Mother passed away Anita and I became very close. I have buried 5 brothers and 3 sisters and it never gets any easier.
Again thanks!
Frank Winn

:'( :o
Thanks Alice, she lived a good long life, and while she had lots of pain over the losses of both of her sons, she had 3 daughters and many grandchildren to enjoy. Anita enjoyed family and being with family so much.
Frank
My condolences on your loss. May peace be with you all
Frank and Myrna,
We are sorry to learn of Anita's passing, but she is now at peace and has lived a long life. May she leave lots of happy memories of good times together with the family. She had dealt with alot of sadness through the years with losses of her children, but I recall a very gracious lady who was fun to visit with.
KRI
Thanks Karen, she did live a good long and enjoyable life, and she was a neat and special sister and friend. I didn't want her to suffer. Hope this finds you all doing great and escaping some of this rain, wind and severe weather.
Frank
In loving memory of my Aunt Anita. To a beautiful woman that lived a good long life. I will always remember you as the perfectly dressed woman in a pantsuit that was ahead of her time. I will remember your smile. I will remember the night at my mom's birthday party that you stayed up till past midnight talking with me, your nephew, about life etc. Most of all I want to say that I love you, Aunt Anita, and I will miss you.
Love,
David
Frank.. I would like to give you a heart hug..as it can't be easy letting go of a sibling...even though ..as you say..she had a great life and was probably more than ready to "go home".
I always got a hoot out of Anita. She was a classy lady. never did you see her in town without looking all gussied up and smellin' good.
I'm sure as she crossed over, she was met by all the ones before her who had passed and the family reunion and celebration will be in full swing for quite awhile. :)
May your memories of her and the times you spent together keep you at peace until you too, join her at our "real home" on the other side.
Thank you Teresa, Anita would love what you said about her, and I appreciate it. You do have a way with words.
Frank

My condolences as well Frank. She sounds like a wonderful person who mean't a lot to a lot of people.
Frank & Myrna.....
Mu goodness! You have lost another sister! It brings so much sorrow, to lose a loved one.
Please accept our love and condolences.
Until we meet again,
Our love to you.
Bob & Bonnie
Thanks Bonnie we appreciate you. It was really great seeing you and Bob, we took some friends to the Copan Truckstop for Catfish last Friday Night and they really enjoyed it and couldn't believe how much food they got. By the way, Diane said to tell you both hello, the Granddaughter with her was Madison, what a really neat young lady. You can all be proud of her.
Frank
Frank, when we come back that way, we'll let you know, and plan to meet you at Copan again! We went there Saturday night, with twelve members of our family, from Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas. "A great time was had by all."
I'm glad you got to see Diane, and Madison. I think Madison was a baby the last time we saw her.
Will your sister's funeral be the first one held at the new funeral home?
I too, wish to add my sympathy.
It is not easy letting a loved one go.....but we do know
that it is in God's plan when it is time.
God bless you and your family at this sad time.
Judy
Bonnie I am not sure but it may be, someone told me they had a viewing there but they didn't think there had been a service there. My sister would like that as she really liked Lloyd as we all do.
Frank
My dear friend, Frank,
I am so sorry to hear of Anita's passing. You know how much I loved that lady --- She was sooooooo much fun and as Teresa said, never saw her that she wasn't "dressed to the nines" and ready to face whatever came her way. She was strong, kind, caring and a great bridge player lol
I will not be able to attend her services, as I am scheduled to work - and there is no one to trade with me for that day...everyone is already scheduled to other things. I am so sorry about that, but be assured that I am there in spirit and love. She and I had many long talks about life and the blows it gives you and I know that she is happy to be home with all those that have gone before her and will be joined again with her beloved sons and Mother and Father. She will be missed by all that loved her.
Stay strong. I'm sending you heart felt love and friendship.
Jo and Fred
Our condolences to you too, Myrna, as you loved her too and she loved you also.
Jothank you and Fred, a note like that from you is a keepsake. Myrna and I both admire and respect you and Fred and I really appreciate your comments about Anita. Bob and Shirley and Myrna and I spent the biggest part of the day with her on Saturday and she passed away Sunday morning.
Thanks again for your neat message.
Frank
I am so sorry for your loss. God Bless, Edie.
Edie, thank you, everyone has been so thoughtful and I appreciate it.
Frank
I talked with Lloyd Zimmerman yesterday - Yes, Anita's is the first funeral in the new home. I'm sure she would be very pleased. It is a lovely facility and Anita was such a classy lady, it's a good fit.
No matter how prepared, no matter how expected, a void is still a void. You amd your family have my deep sympathies.
Yes, Anita's services were the first in the new Furneral Home and it is very nice and as usual Lloyd and staff done a great job, I told Lloyd I wanted him to take care of himself so he would be around to do mine someday. The Rev. Gary Parsons done a great job as well, Rev Parsons lived neighbors to Anita and she was very fond of him and he had some neat things to say about her that he experienced over the years. By the way, the Forum's Ole Granny came to the graveside services and I got a big hug from her. I have known Alice for 50 plus years and it was great to see her there. Thank you all again for your expressions of sympathy and caring, that is another neat thing about Howard and Elk County, the people are absolutely great, caring and look after each other.
Frank Winn
Thank you, Frank. It was good seeing you and your cousins -Janet, Ginny and,Myrna. Janet looked so good and enjoyed visiting with her. Today is her last treatment so our thoughts and prayers will be with her. What a wonderful family you have. I had no trouble finding which service was Anita's. It had all the cars surrounding it.
Alice they are my Nieces and they are all three very special. Janet and I are close to the same age. Janet has looked after her Mother these past few months and battled Cancer as well. She is an inspiration to our entire family, her attitude is always great and she has that "CAN DO',attitude, even with the very heavy doses of Chemo they gave her she was always very positive and upbeat. Thanks again for coming out, it is always great to see a lifelong friend. I think you should change your forum name to "YOUNG GRANNY', you looked great as always.
Frank
Thanks again. I knew they were your nieces but cousin came out. Maybe I should keep with the "Old" Granny.
