Post by: greatguns on March 16, 2008, 07:59:19 PM
Everyne is talking Easter but I wanted to wish ye all a Happy St. Paddy's day.  Tomorrow should be a fun day at work as we are having a all green dinner.  I've got my green Angel Food Cake, Green Fruit Pizza and my green Shamrock cookies all ready to go.  Can't wait to see the green noodles and the green mashed potatoes.  Now don't be green with envy because I'm going to have fun and some good food.  A top of the day to you.        I know you're all doing this now!   ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Wishing everyone a bit of the Irish Luck .

Here's a toast to all

Saint Patrick was a gentleman,
Who through strategy and stealth,
Drove all the snakes from Ireland,
Here's a toasting to his health.(http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/ernaehrung/food-smiley-022.gif)
But not too many toastings
Lest you lose yourself and then
Forget the good Saint Patrick
And see all those snakes again. (http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/tiere/animal-smiley-086.gif)

'Beannachtam na Feile Padraig!'
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St.Patrick's day to you all.

May love and laughter light your day,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best  to you and yours

Our house smells like corned beef right now.  Kathy is fixing corned beef, new potatoes, and cabbage for supper tonight.

We're Irish, if only once a year!

Yep! Not full of blarney, but full of Corn Beef Cabbage, and red skin potatoes. Yum! Yum!  ::) ::) We have this several times a year, and always on St. Paddys' Day. Now I need a nap!  ;D

Happy St. Patrick's Day to y'all

I am GREEN with envy -- for the corned beef and cabbage dinners being cooked and eaten.

I donned my green attire and happily escaped all pinches today.

May your tomorrow be a happy one also.

Well, we did not have corned beef and cabbage, but the kids at the daycare that I run had their share of green foods.  I made green eggs and ham for breakfast.  For lunch we had ham and cheese sandwiches, green beans, green pears, and fries.  For snack this afternoon, we had cupcakes with green frosting and green sherbert punch.  The kids loved all the green, and we made sure that all were full of green before they went home.  I hope everyone else had a fun St. Paddy's day just like I did.  I really enjoy making things that the kids will remember in the future!!

Oh Cody missed all the green fun at daycare today.  He really misses you this week Miss Angie. We had our corn beef and cabbage yesterday so Jason could be involved; otherwise he would miss it because he has to work.  I am Irish and my parents are visiting to help with Cody while I had my radiation treatment, and my mom said that we had to have corn beef and cabbage.  Which I agreed.  Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone.

My Irish heritage had to take a back seat to a sodium cut back.  I fixed a Flat Iron Steak with baked potatoes and salad.  :-* :-* I remembered the time when I would drink a green beer.   :-\ :-\That will do.  Now I am having a cup of tea.
